MFT November Release Countdown--Day 5

Are you ready for My Favorite Things November Release Countdown?

There's lots of snowy goodness this month, starting off with Chill Wishes.
How cute are these snowboarding penguin triplets?

I die cut a panel with the rectangle element from Blueprints 24, then used
 Die-namics Stitched Strip to add some detail on the ski slope. I trimmed it an
angle, then adhered it to a Summer Splash card base. I colored the penguins
with Copics, and cut them out with the matching dies. Dots and stripes
were added to their scarves with a white pigment pen.

They were adhered to the slope with dimensional adhesive. I white embossed
the sentiment and added some teeny tiny stars. Aren't they the teeniest stars
you've ever seen? I got them from the new Starry Circle Die-namics which I'll
be sharing on another project tomorrow.

CAS(E) this Sketch 196--CASE for a Cause

This week's CAS(E) this Sketch is a special collaboration with 

Karen Howard and her blog, Feline Creative. Karen emailed Chrissy 

to ask if we would be interested in creating pet themed cards that will be
forwarded to a pet shelter. Of course we all said "Yes!"
 

Here's the sketch that we'll be using--Sketch #196.
 

And here's my take on it.

                                                                                                                        

The kitties were colored with Copics and cut with the matching dies. 

A strip of patterned paper was adhered to the card and the image 

was popped over it. The sentiment was white embossed and the card 

was finished off with some Nuvo Crystal Drops.

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #304

Here's My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch #304.

And here's my take on it.

The dotted and striped patterned papers were adhered to kraft card stock and
cut with the rectangle element from Blueprints 24 and an oval die. The panel was

adhered to a top folding kraft card base.

The little girl and bird were stamped on kraft card stock and colored with

Prismacolor pencils, then popped up in the center of the frame. 

I finished off the card with the white embossed sentiment.

Hero Hostess Alumni Blog Hop--Day 2

I'm a huge fan of dies and Lia Griffith's Celebrate Tag won me over, big time.

I'm also a big fan of ink distressing. After die cutting the tag from watercolor
card stock, I platinum embossed a sentiment in the center of each tag.
Both tags were ink distressed and I spattered some water on the pink tag.

I die cut two more tags, trimmed off the tag's hole, and layered them to the tag to form
a thick medallion. I adhered it to a square card and finished off with small gold sequins.

I used the same technique for the blue tag, but this time I kept it as a tag to be used as
an ornament. I ink distressed with "cool colors" and added a cord and Hero Arts gemstones.
The ornament is adhered with temporary adhesive so the recipient can remove
it from the card and hang it on their tree, if they wish.
