CAS(E) this Sketch! 89

Here's CAS(E) this Sketch 89 brought to you by Leigh.

And here's my take on it.

I die cut Penny Black's By the Numbers from watercolor paper and dabbed
several rainbow colors of Peerless Watercolors on it, then splattered some Mr. Huey's.
A few sequins were added for bling, and the sentiment is from Altenew.

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see how my teamies interpreted the sketch

Waffleflower Guest Designer

My last guest design spot for the month is for my sweet friend, Nina of Waffleflower.
I used the sentiment and stars from Starry Night and some watercoloring on my card.
As a finishing touch, I added a few glittery stars that were die cut from the Tiny Star die.

Here's a sneak peek of my card.

Please visit the Waffleflower blog for the full card reveal and I'll be sharing one more project
later this month. Thanks for having me, Nina!

Happy News!

Today is the day that I can finally share: I'm a Hero Arts artist!

I'm still in a state of shock that I was asked to join the fabulous folks at Hero Arts,
and I'm looking forward to sharing lots of Hero Arts goodness with you.

I've been a Hero Arts fan since forever and my very first stamps were made by this
wonderful company. I still own hundreds of treasured woodblock stamps and
I've always loved the feel of a curved woodblock in my hands. Still do.

To celebrate the occasion, I've created a card, channeling the ever creative
Shari Carroll with an inking technique she recently shared.
Here's a sneak peek of the card. Visit Hero Arts here for the full card reveal
and also to meet the rest of my new team members!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and sharing in my excitement!
I can't wait to begin my journey, and hope you'll join us at Hero Arts
for lots of fun and inspiration!

p.s. So sorry about all the exclamation points!!!

Tag You're It! Challenge #4

(Note: Click here if you're looking for CASE Study's Anniversary Blog Hop. Thank you!)
* * *

Challenge #4 at Tag You're It! is brought to you by my teammate, Marion.
Check out her awesome project!

Here's my project--a tag card. It's a small card shaped like a tag
with a bit more room for a little handwritten note.

I was inspired by the die cut flowers that Marion used. I watercolored Fresh Daisies
and attached them to a kraft tag card base that was stamped with a Graph Background.
The sentiment is a hybrid from Papertrey Ink and Winnie&Walter. I finished off the tag
with some rayon seam binding that was dyed with Peeled Paint Distress ink.

Visit Tag You're It! to see the previous challenge winners
and how my teammates were inspired by Marion's tag. If you decide to join the fun
you have until Wednesday, August 27th to link up your tag(s).
Hope to see you in the Gallery!

CAS(E) this Sketch 88

(Note: For the CASE Study Blog Hop, scroll down or click here. Thank you!)

CAS(E) this Sketch 88 is a little ditty by........me! Here it is.

And here's my take on it.

I can't believe that I had such a hard time with a sketch that I designed.
I had much simpler visions when I first dreamed up the sketch.
Maybe it looked too much like a card I'd already done.

I grabbed Altenew's Hennah Elements and gold embossed the flowers and leaves
and colored them in with watercolors. The sentiment is also by Altenew.

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see how my teammates interpreted the sketch
and join us if you can. Link up your card(s) by Thursday, August 21st.

CASE Study 4th Anniversary Blog Hop--Week #2

It's the second week of CASE Study's 4th Anniversary Blog Hop!
Visit this week's blogs and comment to win some awesome prizes.

This year, I'm honored to be a part of the fun, since I was invited to be a Muse
back in January. That was such a fun experience--having the design team and friends
CASE some cards that I designed. So.much.fun!

The theme of the hop is "inspiration" and here's how I was inspired.
By some colorful cards by my AEI♥U teammate Yana Smakula.
Check these out. And they're one layered beauties, too!

             Cards by Yana Smakula

I followed Yana's awesome tutorial here, and used a circle stamp from Simon Says Stamp
together with Hero Arts' mid tone inks and a sentiment from Papertrey Ink.

It's not perfect stamping--see the white "holes"?--and the gemstones
are supposed to distract you. (Wink!)

Here's the list of this week's blogs to visit. To be eligible for the prizes,
please be sure to leave a comment on ALL blogs by Tuesday, August 19th.
