Sketchbook Saturday 124

I'm playing with Chupa's Sketchbook Saturday challenge for the first time.
Here's the sketch.

Here's my card.

Can you see the gradation in colors? I used Laura Bassen's "smoosh" technique
from the Online Card Classes Watercolor class. I've lost track of how many "hello" dies
I have, but this one by Mama Elephant is one of my faves. Kryssi's handwriting rocks!

Thanks, always, for stopping by!

CAS(E) this Sketch 81 Meets FUSION

It's time for another joint challenge at CAS(E) this Sketch!
This time, we're collaborating with FUSION, where you can use either a sketch,
a photo, or both to create your card.

I chose to use the sketch, with a teeny bit of inspiration from the photo.

I partially inked the background stamp with Delicata Gold and added the banner
with a gold embossed vellum butterfly and a sentiment from the same set.
The finishing touch was some wonky faux stitching with a gold pen.

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see how my teammates interpreted the sketch
and if you decide to join us, be sure to link up your card at FUSION, too.
The deadline for CAS(E) this Sketch is Thursday, June 26th
and you could be our next guest designer!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Time Out Challenges Guest Designer

I'm so excited to be guest designing at Time Out Challenges!
There are four challenge rounds and the current round is to CASE a card
and give it your own little twist. Nonni chose this card.

And here's how I CASE'd it.

I used the same Memory Box stencil and ink distressed two colors of dye inks
on watercolor paper. The sentiment was die cut and heat embossed twice with gold powder.
The piece was splattered with gold paint and I added a few gold sequins.

The "twist" was that this time, I used the stencil as a stencil
compared to the original card where the stencil was stamped with water.

Visit Time Out Challenges and see how the rest of the design team CASE'd the card
and join the challenge if you can. I'm so looking forward to seeing how the card is CASE'd!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, and thank you to Nonni
and the rest of the team for choosing my card to CASE.

AEI♥U Challenge #9

The latest AEI♥U Challenge is to stamp your own designer paper using at least one
Avery Elle stamp on your card. If you don't own any Avery Elle stamps, feel free to use
one of the digital ones here. Here's my card.

I used Avery Elle's Count On It set and lined up random numbers on an acrylic block
and inked them up in five colors of Avery Elle's pigment ink.
The sentiment is also from the same set.

Visit the AEI♥U Challenge blog for all the details and to see how the rest of
the design team interpreted the challenge theme and join us if you can.
Link up your card(s) by Sunday, June 22nd.

Thanks for stopping by!
