Time Out Challenges #283 -- Birthday Celebration CASE the Designer

A while back, my card was chosen as the winner for a collaboration challenge with
Time Out Challenges and JUGS but because of time constraints I wasn't able to join them
for a guest spot.

Fast forward to the end of 2024 and Stephanie Lanzalotto asked if I would participate
in Time Out Challenges CASE the Designer and I humbly accepted the invitation to be
their muse.

Time Out's Challenge #283 marks their 11th Birthday Celebration and yes, there's a
generous sponsor and prize! The winner of the challenge will receive a $25 Store credit
to Gina K Designs and you have until March 12th at 5:00PM London time to enter.

The theme is BIRTHDAY and I went with a favorite card sketch from Freshly Made
Sketches, courtesy of Karren.

I used my go to craft mediums--stenciling and embossing and rather than a birthday
sentiment, I went with an all occasion "celebrate" so the card can be used for other
celebratory occasions as well.

Please visit the Time Out Challenge blog for all the details. Join the celebration,
CASE my card, and you could be shopping at the Gina K store!

Thanks to Stephanie and the TIME OUT team for the invitation to be your muse.
I can't wait to peruse the gallery and see the entries!

Time Out Challenge #276 -- Cozy

The latest cue word for Time Out Challenge #276 is COZY.

How about a cozy pair of bunny slippers? Yes, please!

I've been an off and on subscriber to Spellbinders Large Die of the Month Club, but
when I saw the bunny slippers, I was back on. Our daughter had a white bunny and
one Christmas I received a pair of bunny slippers from her.
These remind me of Kumo 💗

I tried my best to make the legs look "cross legged" and used papers from a long
retired pad of Lawn Fawn papers. After assembling the legs on the card I stamped
and white embossed the sentiment

I'm hoping to put together the other slippers in the set. The penguin is next on
the list. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Time Out Challenges #270

The current challenge at Time Out Challenges has a photo inspiration that's full of
fruit and autumn vibes.

I'm playing along using Concord & 9th's Weekend Market Dies and patterned paper
from p13 that I must have bought a while ago because it's now discontinued. I was
totally inspired by all the luscious fruit!

I used mostly all papers from the pad and I'm pleased with how the wine bottle
turned out. Originally the bottle was in the bag but you couldn't see much of it,
so I DIY'd her left arm and have her holding it rather than bagging it.

I cut out a few apples from the paper pad to add to the shopping bag. The background
was embossed and she was grounded with a wood plank floor. A Simon Says Stamp
sentiment finished off the card.

I'm happy that I'm early for a change and grateful that the challenge is a long one.
Thanks for stopping by!

Edited to add: My card was chosen as an Honorable Mention.
Thank you, Time Out Challenges!

Time Out Challenges + JUGS Collaboration Challenge

Blogging friend Michele directed me to a collaborative challenge between
Time Out Challenges and (new to me) JUGS, the acronym for Just Us Girls.

And the cue word for both challenges is BIRDS.  I'm a huge fan of birds and I feel that I was
destined to enter the challenge. Here's my rather busy entry.

I just received Papertrey Ink's Into the Blooms Spring Nest Die and quickly put one together.
I have several of their Feathered Friends cut, colored, and assembled in a "bird box" and chose
a blue one that matched the eggs.

I unsuccessfully researched birds' egg colors and I believe blue colored birds don't lay
blue eggs. I don't even know what species of bird this is but I was short on time to color
a beige/brown bird.

The nest and eggs were assembled and flowers and leaves were added, together with
the bird and a white embossed sentiment. Yes, it's the same sentiment that I used a
few cards back that's a fave.

Ok, off to link this up! Thanks so much for stopping by and to Michele for
introducing me to the challenge.

Edited to add: I've just returned from an overseas trip a few days ago and feeling a bit
jet lagged when I read in some comments that I won the collaborative challenge!
Many thanks to the gals at Time Out Challenges and JUGS for the honor!

Time Out Challenges Guest Designer

I'm so excited to be guest designing at Time Out Challenges!
There are four challenge rounds and the current round is to CASE a card
and give it your own little twist. Nonni chose this card.

And here's how I CASE'd it.

I used the same Memory Box stencil and ink distressed two colors of dye inks
on watercolor paper. The sentiment was die cut and heat embossed twice with gold powder.
The piece was splattered with gold paint and I added a few gold sequins.

The "twist" was that this time, I used the stencil as a stencil
compared to the original card where the stencil was stamped with water.

Visit Time Out Challenges and see how the rest of the design team CASE'd the card
and join the challenge if you can. I'm so looking forward to seeing how the card is CASE'd!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, and thank you to Nonni
and the rest of the team for choosing my card to CASE.
