CASual Fridays 126 is a fun one--COLOR BLOCKS, using blocks of color

on your clean and simple project.

I hope my card qualifies. It's more "curves" of color than "blocks".

I finally opened the A2 Card Curved Edge die from Simon Says Stamp.

Raise your hand if you bought it. I was one of those who said, "Nah, I don't need that die.

I can trace a plate or a bowl. I can cut a curved line."

But I caved and bought it and now I'm calling it one of my favorite fun dies!

I paired the design with the Paper Smooches sentiment--again.

CAS(E) this Sketch 61

Here's CAS(E) this Sketch 61 brought to you by Julie.

And here's my simplified take on it.

See that colorful tree? I started coloring a die cut tree that was lying in my scrap pile

with a few Copic markers. I kinda sorta liked how it looked and added some gold

on the tips with Delicata gold ink. I adhered it to some dark brown card stock

and added the perfect sentiment from Paper Smooches.

CASE Study #175

It's a new week and time for another CASE Study Challenge!

I can't begin to tell you what a thrill it is being January's Muse and seeing all

the fun and creative takes on my cards. It just blows me away!

Here's my super simplified take on the original card.

I used the gorgeous washi tape (Thank you, Alice!) that was my inspiration for
the original card, to ground the sentiment. I stamped and gold embossed random dots
and added a bit of gold to the bottom of the "hello" along with a few gold sequins.

  Can you tell I'm loving the gold trend?

Are your ready? Here are my projects.
My first card uses YAY!, a fun sentiment set full of congratulatory messages.

I white embossed a few sentiments and die cut and hand cut speech bubbles
then ink distressed and adhered them to the card with dimensional tape.
The background is the new FIVE LINE background stamp. To finish off the card,
I added a few punched stars that were covered with gloss.

My next project uses A LITTLE, a unique stamp set that lets you choose a word

to complete the sentiment. When I saw that one of the word choices was "BLING"

I knew that I wanted to make a shaker card.

The fabulous Julie Ebersole shared a tutorial here for a no sew shaker card
that uses washi tape. It's fast, fun, and fail proof. It's genius!

I white embossed the image and ink distressed with two colors of distress inks,
then finished off the shaker with some sequins and stars.

How fun is that? I don't know anyone who doesn't love a shaker card!

Avery Elle Circle It--Take Two

Today I'm sharing a quick, one layer card using Avery Elle's CIRCLE IT.

 

I stamped the large sprinkling of dots, then used the single dot stamp

to fill in the cascading pattern. I inked up the sentiment in two colors of ink

and finished off the card with some matching sequins.
 Quick and easy peasy--my favorite kind of card!

I die cut Fresh Daisies and did a bit of watercoloring on them
and adhered them to some some scrap pieces of card stock. The sentiment
is one of the freebies that Jamie includes in your Avery Elle order.
