Here's CAS(E) this Sketch 41 by Chrissy Larson.

And here's my very loose interpretation.

 

Truthfully, this sketch had me stumped. I knew that I wanted to use
the adorable new chickadees from Technique Tuesday and at one point
I thought about elongating their legs to fit the sketch. But I didn't.

The birds were colored with Copics and I love that the pink one
looks a little perturbed with the sentiment strip.

Fill in the Blank with Avery Elle

Today I'm sharing some cards using Avery Elle's Fill in the Blank
stamps and coordinating steel dies designed by the awesome JJ Bolton.
 
My first card uses the word HAPPY, and I filled in the space for the "A" with
a glittery balloon from the Icon set. The stars are from Party Animal.

My second card uses the Fill in the Blank Word dies, die cut from three colors
of card stock and mounted on kraft. The sentiment is from the stamp set.

There are dozens of possible combinations using the stamps and dies
for different occasions. I've got tons of ideas and I'll be sharing more cards soon.

All stamps and dies are now available in the Avery Elle store and at i{heart}papers.

Here's CAS(E) this Sketch 40 by Karolyn Loncon.

And here's my take on it.

I die cut the gorgeous Leaf Column--the outline and background--
and mounted it with dimensional adhesive on some teal card stock.
For a bit of interest, I curved the stem just a skosh.
The gold embossed sentiment is by Technique Tuesday.

I'm starting to like having sentiments read sideways, although
this card could also be presented in landscape format.

Guest Designing at CASology

I'm honored to be guest designing over at CASology today.

The cue word? DESSERT!

Here's my card.

I masked and stamped three macarons from Avery Elle on a skinnier-than-normal card

and added the sentiment on the side. I grounded the macarons with a bit of shading
and added some "filling" with white Enamel Accents.
