Thyroid Awareness Blog Hop

January is Thyroid Awareness Month.

The American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) has marked Thyroid
Awareness Month for more than 20 years to raise public awareness of the need for
preventive screening and early detection of thyroid disease. Blogging friend Milka is
doing her part by hosting a blog hop from January 5th thru the 30th.

She's gathered 25 friends worldwide to emphasize the importance of the thyroid
gland and the problems that occur when it's not working properly. The thyroid gland
is shaped like a butterfly so we were asked to incorporate a butterfly or butterflies on
our projects. Here is my card for the hop.

I white embossed the sentiment from WPlus9 and ink distressed in rainbow order, then
offset the panel on a white card base. I finished off the card with three blue butterflies.

The blog hop runs daily through January 30th. Here's a list of all the participants,
Some designers are having a giveaway on their blog, so be sure to check every day

My Favorite Things Day 5 Countdown Release post. Thank you!)

Blogging friend Milka invited me to celebrate the kickoff of World Space Week,
which runs from October 4-10th, by hosting an official blog hop event with prizes
donated from generous sponsors

World Space Week is the largest space event on Earth. This U.N.-declared event is held
October 4-10, annually, to celebrate the contribution of space science and technology to
the betterment of the human condition.

You should have arrived here via Amy Tsuruta's blog. If not, start at Milka's blog for
all the details of the hop, list of prizes, and the complete blog hop list.

To be eligible for prizes, start at Milka's blog and visit every blog and leave a comment
at each stop. You will end the hop at Milka's blog and enter your name into InLinkz and
be sure to read the Giveaway terms, rules, and privacy policy.

Here are the generous prize sponsors for the hop:

In addition, Milka will be giving away a Jane's Doodles To the Moon stamp set.

Here's my space themed card designed especially for the hop.

The astronaut was stamped and colored with Copic markers, then cut with the matching
dies. I added Nuvo Crystal Glaze to his face shield and perched him up on a silvery moon.
Stars were added to the galaxy and a silver embossed sentiment finished off the card.

Your next stop on the hop is Kaja's blog. Enjoy the rest of the hop and don't forget
to leave comments to be eligible for a prize. InLinkz will close on Wed, October 10th
and the winners will be announced on October 14th on Milka's blog.
 Good luck and happy hopping!

Altenew 2nd Anniversary Blog Hop

I'm excited and honored to be a part of the Altenew 2nd Anniversary Blog Hop!
There are prizes galore from some fabulous sponsors, and special offers
to help commemorate and celebrate Altenew's milestone.

You should have arrived here from Svitlana's fabulous blog. If not, start
at the Altenew blog and be sure to leave comments along the way.

My card uses the Wild Hibiscus stamp set. I gold embossed the images
on watercolor card stock, then I used Altenew's dye inks to color them.

I used a forgiving technique to paint the images by brushing water inside
the embossed images, then dropping in color and letting it spread on its own.
After letting it air dry, I cut the panel and adhered it to a top folding card.

The sentiment was white embossed on a strip of black card stock and popped up
with dimensional adhesive. I finished off the card with some shiny gold sequins.
I'm the last blog for today's group of designers. The celebration continues
tomorrow at the Altenew blog. Happy hopping and happy shopping!

Note: All winners have been chosen. Visit Altenew here to see if you're a winner!

Pretty Pink Post Sequin Shaker Blog Hop

Today I'm joining a fun Sequin Shaker Blog Hop hosted by Pretty Pink Posh.
I love making shaker cards and my favorite way to make them is Julie Ebersole's
easy peasy method using washi tape.

I inked up the awesome sentiment from Mama Elephant in two colors
and sandwiched the sides of the "pocket" with pink dotted washi tape.
I enclosed a few sequins in the pocket before securing the top edge.
The shaker was mounted on a dotted green background.

I adhered a few sequins on the outside of the shaker, just for fun.
If you want to give this a try, follow Julie's video tutorial here.
Have fun...and join the hop!

Avery Elle June Release Blog Hop

Welcome to Avery Elle's June Release Blog Hop!

I hope you arrived here from the fabulous blog of JJ Bolton. If not, start at
Avery Elle and continue the hop so you won't miss a drop of inspiration
from my super talented teammates!

Avery Elle is turning ONE YEAR OLD in June--a very special month for us--
and we'll be hosting fun activities on the blog throughout the month.
We are so excited to celebrate with you and we hope you'll join us!

To kick off the festivities, every stamp order placed through Avery Elle
between now and June 30, will receive our Party Animal mini set FREE!
Limit one set per customer.

Today my cards feature
Ikat Additions, a mini set of smaller ikat images
that work with Ikat Clear Photopolymer Stamps or on their own.

My first card uses the small "V" shaped image, stamped diagonally
like arrowheads along with the sentiment from The Man Clear Photopolymer Stamps.
I used Delicata Golden Glitz pigment ink that is just so gorgeous, it doesn't need any embossing.
The yummy brown cardstock is one of the new colors for the month--Truffle.

My next two cards feature a non traditional way of using ikat--as flowers.
I thought two of the images looked like flowers and stems so I inked them up
in various ink colors and stamped them on smaller A1 sized cards.
Both sentiments are from a NEW stamp set being released in mid June.

To celebrate our June Release Blog Hop, Avery Elle is giving away a $25 gift certificate
to one winner. You have until Sunday, June 2nd to enter, and the winner
will be announced on Monday, June 3rd on the Avery Elle blog.
All products are now available for purchase in the Avery Elle store.

To enter to win you can do 1, 2, or all 6 of the following to increase your chance of winning:
