Inspired by Challenge #336

I'm near the deadline for Inspired by Challenge #336 which is all about LEMONS.
Here's the cool graphic for the challenge.

And here's how I was inspired--the lemons, of course, and the blues and touch of gingham.

The Concord & 9th lemons, greenery and flowers were cut and assembled and I
even added some antique Stickles that thankfully, wasn't dried up. All the pieces
were assembled on a Reverse Wonky Rectangle die that was covered with
turquoise gingham plaid.

I cut another piece and adhered it to the front with a hinge so the card could
stand on its own. The stamped sentiment finished off the card.

I'm off to link up this card with about a day left--whew!
Thanks, always, for stopping by!

Inspired by Challenge #271 -- MITTENS

The theme for this month's Inspired by Challenge is MITTENS.

Here's how I was inspired.

Meet a 5-year old stamp and die set from Simon Says Stamp. I remember buying it and
it never touched ink until recently when I watched some of Kristina Werner's Christmas
Card series on You Tube. I spotted Critter Sweaters from 2018 and dug through my
SSS Christmas stamps and found it!

They appear to be snuggled in mittens, or is that just me? The stamp set is unique
because it's simply stamped on each die cut critter to resemble cozy sweaters.
The background uses MFT's Knitted Sweater Background, stamped on kraft with
Versamark for a tone on tone look. The stamped sentiment finished off the card.

Ok, I'm off to link up my card. Thanks for stopping by!

Inspired by Challenge #262 -- GNOMES

When I saw that this week's Inspired by Challenge #262 was all about GNOMES, I was in.
And just look at the adorable inspiration!

There's even a sketch by Laurel.
 Here's how I was inspired.

I assembled two gnomes with (retired) Photoplay papers and added a red heart
on each of their hats. A woodgrain embossing folder was used on the background
panel and the gnomes were adhered over it. The card was finished off with a red
die cut sentiment.

I don't know why but gnomes always make me smile. Supposedly they're not the
cleanest in terms of hygiene, and have grumpy personalities. I guess they become
as cute as we can make 'em!

Thanks for stopping by!

Edited to add: My card was chosen as the winner of the challenge!
Thank you, Laurel!

Inspired by Challenge 234

Inspired by Challenge 234 is all about RAINBOWS. Have you noticed that rainbows are
a popular challenge theme?

Here's my card using a rainbow wreath, inspired by the uber talented Mindy Eggen.

I started stenciling the wreath during Online Card Classes' Stenciled 2 class but didn't
complete it until this week. And when I saw that IB234 was about rainbows, I stamped
the sentiment and decided to enter it.

So how do you feel about rainbows? Are you a fan or not? One of my twin granddaughters
loves to line up her blocks and Cocomelon® friends in rainbow order. So it's safe to say that
she's a huge fan of rainbows!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Inspired by April Showers

This week's Inspired by Challenge 233 is April Showers. Here's the challenge graphic.

And here's my take on it, loosely based on a flipped sketch.

Of course I had to incorporate umbrellas somehow. I DIY'd a cloud template and
used Lost Shadow Distress Oxide ink for the cloudy background. Three umbrellas
were inked and spattered with water, then adhered to the card.

I chose a sentiment from Hero Arts/Reverse Confetti, added some clear raindrops
and rounded off a corner as a finishing touch.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
