Color Throwdown Challenge #829

I'm nearly down to the deadline for Color Throwdown Challenge #829--blue, lime green,
and green.

I remember starting a card with somewhat similar colors but never finished it
because I was sure I was stenciling it wrong.

At first I didn't like how the leaves and berries overlapped each other. Using blues
and greens looked better than when I used red and green which left brown spots.
This time because the two colors blended well, I thought it fit perfectly with the
challenge colors.

I ran the panel through a quilted cover plate, added the sentiment and a few
blue sequins. And a bit of spatter for good measure.

I'm off to link this up. Thanks so much for stopping by!

The Flower Challenge #68 -- Use a Number

This month's challenge theme at The Flower Challenge #68 is to Use a Number.

Here's my card using the new Lovely Layers Peony Honey Cuts for the bloom, and
one of my favorite number dies--Penny Black's By the Numbers.

The numbers die was debossed into a white card stock top folding card and set
aside. The peony and leaves were diecut from white card stock then colored
with inks. The flower was assembled and spattered with gold ink.

The bloom and leaves were adhered to the debossed panel and finished off with
the white embossed sentiment.

This was probably a lazy way of adding a number so I may redeem myself and
enter another card. Stay tuned, and thanks for stopping by!

Edited to add: So honored that my card was chosen as the Challenge winner
Huge thanks to the Flower Challenge design team and congrats to the Top Picks
and Honorable Mention.

The Flower Challenge 67 -- Add a Heart

I was about to mail a card to a friend who is recuperating from surgery, and happened
to see that the latest Flower Challenge was to Add a Heart. I decided to enter my card.
Can you spot the heart?

I embossed a panel with the new Sizzix Doily 3D Embossing Folder, then added the
Lovely Layers Tulip from Honey Bee Stamps. I finished off the card with the sentiment
from Pinkfresh Studio.

Now do you see the heart? I'm not sure if this card will qualify for the challenge,
but I'm sending it off with good wishes to my friend. Thanks for stopping by!

Edited to add: My card was chosen as a Top Pick! Thank you, TFC!

Guest Designer for Inspired By Challenge #189

Danni Reid of Inspired By Challenge invited me to guest design for Challenge #189
and I humbly accepted. They now have a new format with a Christmas and non Christmas
prompt in addition to Laurel's sketch.

I chose the Christmas prompt, Mistletoe 25 Cents.

And here's my card. I was inspired by the gorgeous wreath, a bit of gingham, and silver.

I cut the Grapevine Wreath from Honey Bee Stamps twice from kraft card stock
and inked them with brown inks before layering them, offset, to create a
fuller wreath.

The sentiment was silver embossed inside the wreath and I added greenery and
silver circles cut from glitter card stock. The final touch was a bit of black and
white gingham adhered to the bottom of the card.

Visit Inspired By Challenge to see what their design team created and come and
join the challenge. Huge thanks to Danni and to the IB team for for the invite!
