Spring 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

It's that time of year--the Spring 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

I'm super excited because I'm having a giveaway! First, here's my card.

I die cut Paper Smooches take out coffee cup from watercolor card stock and
before ink distressing, taped the back side of the cup to keep the pieces intact.
The heart was die cut from the coffee sleeve portion of the cup, ink distressed,
then popped back in the space.

I paired the image with some striped patterned paper and the curved

sentiment from Simon Says Stamp. A few sprinkled coffee beans finished

off the card. Don't you just love that sentiment? It's so true.

on my card? It's super cute and I love the coffee beans in the set.

Celebrate--Clean & Simple Cardmaking 3 Winner!

I'm popping in to share another card for Virginia's View Watercoloring Challenge

and to announce the winner of the spot in Clean & Simple Cardmaking 3.

First, here's my card.

I white embossed the Avery Elle sentiment on watercolor paper, then brushed 

several colors of distress inks over it for the resist effect.

I love how it kinda sorta looks like ribbons. The finishing touch? Sequins!

And the winner of the spot in class? Random.org helped me choose....

Dazzling Day--and Giveaway Winner!

Thanks to all of you for hopping along with the Hero Arts hostesses last week.
We hope you were inspired by our cards and projects using stamps from the
awesome new 2014 Catalog.

 Personally, I LOVE their background stamps. Hero Arts is the trailblazer
when it comes to designing the trendiest backgrounds and to this day,
there are so many that I use and reach for all the time.

On my card I gold embossed the new FIVE LINE background in gold and used the sketch

from CAS(E) this Sketch (again!) and finished it with the sentiment and gold sequins.

CASology GOLD & Giveaway Winner

This week's cue word at CASology is GOLD.

Here's my take on the word.

After pouncing the tip of the feather with Versamark ink, I heat embossed

it with gold embossing powder. I love how it turned out!
 

It was difficult to photograph the "goldness" but IRL it looks fabulous!
Hence, the sentiment. To finish off the card, I tied some gold thread on the feather's quill.
