Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero May 2022 Challenge -- Get Scrappy

It's been a while since I've joined a Hero Arts challenge. This month the Stay Crafty
Challenge is Get Scrappy, to use your scraps on your project.

Everything except the Thank You Message Cover Die was a leftover scrap. I have
several alcohol ink backgrounds and chose one to place behind the cover die.

I wanted to "dress up" the panel and found some Spellbinders flowers and leaves in a
scrap bowl on my desk. After popping up the panel, I tucked in some leaves and
adhered the flowers on the panel.

It felt good to participate in a Hero Arts challenge and use up some scraps, too.
Thanks for stopping by!

A Blog Named Hero Challenge #24

Challenge #24 at A Blog Named Hero is Clean Up Your Act--
create a clean and simple project. Here's my card.

Hm....maybe a bit too CAS? I stamped Hero Arts Hello Bubble
in three different ink colors and used the matching die to cut them out
then mounted them on a card embossed with a woodgrain stamp. Done.

I was tempted to add a few enamel dots or some bling, but in the end,
I decided to leave it super clean and simple.
And now that I look at it, this reminds me of The Three Stooges
and how they would each chime in and say "hello". Oh well....

Thanks for visiting today!

A Blog Named Hero ♥s Avery Elle

It's collaboration week at A Blog Named Hero and Avery Elle is teaming up
with Hero Arts to show how these two companies can blend together.

This is also my first post as a member of the Avery Elle design team!
I was speechless when Jamie invited me to join and couldn't pass up the chance
to create cards with high quality products from Avery Elle.
Here's my card.

I love the large bloom from Avery Elle's Petals & Stems and paired it with
the large sentiment from Hero Arts against their trendy Tweed Background.

Most of Avery Elle's stamps come with free cut files
but I chose to fussy cut the images and attached them with dimensional foam.

Stop by A Blog Named Hero all this week to see more
fabulous fusion between Avery Elle and Hero Arts.
You could win a $30 gift voucher to Avery Elle just for commenting.
The more you comment, the better your chances of winning!

ABNH--Shabby Chic

The current challenge over at A Blog Named Hero is to create
a shabby chic card or project. Here's my attempt at shabby chic.

The doily was cut out of patterned paper and all the edges of both the doily
and the card were ink distressed. The flower was given to me by my sweet friend Alice
and there's a bit of pale pink seam binding underneath it.

I used the Vintage Cabinet die as the base of my card
since it has a rounded top that matched the roundness of the doily.
A few butterflies and framed sentiment were ink distressed
and finished off the card.

Link up your shabby chicness here at A Blog Named Hero.
The prize? A $25 gift voucher to Simon Says Stamp!
