CC with Blueprints--All Buttoned Up

Buttons are a fun embellishment and this month, the MFT Creative Team
was challenged to use the button elements from Blueprints on our projects.

I began by painting swatches of Peerless Watercolors on a sheet of watercolor 

card stock with a waterbrush. After it was completely dried, I diecut the button

elements from Blueprints 8, 14, and 18 from the different colors.

To make the buttons pop, I adhered them to a top folding Black Licorice

card base, and white embossed a sentiment beneath them.

CAS(E) this Sketch 164--Take Two

I'm popping in to share a second card for CAS(E) this Sketch 164 because
I wanted to try something a bit more CAS. Here's the sketch from N@ Ali.

And here's my take on it.

I used one of the brushstroke images from Jumbo Abstract Art and inked it

with several colors of Distress inks. I spritzed water over the image before

stamping it on watercolor paper in rainbow order. 

The sentiment was stamped with Black Licorice Hybrid ink and I have to thank

the Misti for letting me stamp and re-stamp it until I got the crisp, bold results.

CAS(E) this Sketch 164

Here's CAS(E) this Sketch 164, brought to you by N@ Ali.

And here's my take on it with some banana lovin' monkeys.

These three little fellas were in my bowl of extra diecuts. I adhered a strip of
diagonal stripes on a card base and stuck them on. I stamped the sentiment
and finished off the card by rounding the bottom corners.

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #272

It's Wednesday--time for a new sketch at My Favorite Things.
Here's Sketch 272.

And here's my take on it. When I saw the circle element, MFT's new
Spring Wreath came to mind.

I stamped the wreath and a ton of flowers and leaves, then die cut them with
the matching dies. The wreath was adhered to white card stock and I added
all the leaves and flowers, curling up some of the leaves for dimension.

I carefully trimmed around the entire wreath, then stamped the sentiment

in the center with Sour Apple ink. A strip of green plaid paper was adhered

to a top folding card, and the wreath was attached with dimensional adhesive.
