Newton's Nook Designs November Release--Day 2

Hello! Are you ready for Day 2 of Newton's Nook Designs November Release?

Today we're sharing projects with Beautiful Blizzard, a clear stamp set

with gorgeous, ornate snowflakes and sentiments in a "cool" font!

And here's my card.

I chose different sizes of snowflakes and stamped them with Versamark ink
on watercolor paper, then ink distressed with several colors of Distress inks
in ombré fashion. I stamped the sentiment and added three different sizes
of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear sequins.

Newton's Nook Designs November Release--Day 1

I'm so excited to be a part of Newton's Nook Designs November Release Hop!
I hope you've arrived from Tessa's blog. If not, start at the beginning at Newton's Nook
to see all the projects created by their design team and leave comments along the way.

Today we're all sharing projects with Winter Tails. Here's a look at the set.

And here's my card.

I stamped the bear on a snowball and masked him. The small snowflakes
were white embossed and I ink distressed the background with Peacock Feathers.
The image was colored with Copics and the punny sentiment is from the set.

I used a circle Spellbinder die to cut out the image and adhered it to a card
that was dry embossed with a falling snow embossing folder.
I used a white pigment pen to add some extra snow. How fun is that image?

Tag You're It! Challenge #10

The inspiration for Challenge #10 over at Tag You're It is this beauty from Lynn.

Here's my take on it.

I was inspired by the colors of the flowers on her tag
and inked up the balloons, bunny, and sentiment from Mama Elephant.
If the balloons look blotchy, it's because I added some Clear Aqualip,
Wink of Stella, and Aqualip dots for a bit of texture.

CAS(E) this Sketch 99

Here's CAS(E) this Sketch 99 brought to you by Michelle Williams.

And here's my take on it.

Several months ago, I inked up a ton of die cut leaves and shared them on Instagram.

When I saw the sketch, I knew they'd have a home on my card.

I attached some to a strip of woodgrain patterned paper and the sentiment
is from Hero Arts.

Crafty Friends

I love sentiment stamps. After background stamps, they run a close second.
I especially love mixed font sentiments or the latest trend of sentiments
with a handwritten look.

Over the weekend I got inky with Hero Arts' Crafty Friends and distress inks.

See the background? It was a boo boo. The craft sheet was inked and sprayed
with water and just as I was about to place the card on top....

it slipped from my hand.

I picked up the card and liked the results so I let it dry as is. I like the white showing
around all that color. And no, I don't think I could ever duplicate it again.
I trimmed and mounted it to some Studio Calico patterned paper which is also
composed of handwritten words. I like the artsy fartsy look. (Pardon me for saying "fartsy")

Oh, and back to the stamp, it's the handwriting of stamping friend Heather Ruwe.
