CASE-ing Wida

I finally found some time to play along with CASE Study Challenge
since their Muse for the month is Ms. Beachorado, Wida Miller.

Here is her fun card.

It's so Wida.
Fun embellies, cute papers.
And here's what I came up with.

I was going for a card with fun embellies in happy colors.
And splatters. It had to have splatters.

I'm also pretty stingy with that woodgrain texture card stock,
but went "all out" for Wida. Did I capture the spirit of her card? I hope so!

Thanks for stopping by today.

(ETA: My card won Top 3 at CASE Study!)

CAS(E) this Sketch 77

Here's CAS(E) this Sketch 77 brought to you by Gayatri, and it's a fun one!

Here's my uber literal take on it.

I still have water coloring on the brain and inked up the dots in various colors
of distress inks and spritzed them with water before stamping.
Enamel dots were added for dimension and finished off with a sentiment
from Winnie and Walter.

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see how my teammates interpreted the sketch
and play along with us if you can. You could be our next guest designer!
Be sure to link up your card(s) by Thursday, May 29th.

Thanks for stopping by!

The Card Concept 10--Coffee

I'm playing in The Card Concept's latest challenge with a COFFEE theme.

Here's my shaped card and I kept it clean and simple. Or maybe it's clean and layered.

I used the Sizzix Bigz Coffee Mug die and some Highline papers from Basic Grey.
I followed the tutorial here to construct the card. The sentiment is from
(the now closed--sniff!) Fresh Squeezed Stamps.

Here's a side view of the card. It's the perfect size to enclose a gift card.

I'm also linking this up to Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Challenge--Die Crazy--
to use dies on your project. I love this coffee mug die but I'm not a hot coffee drinker.
Iced coffee is my poison and I poison myself almost every day.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

AEI♥U Challenge #7--Botanicals

Here's the new challenge theme over at AEI♥U.

I admit to being "botanically challenged".  I love plants and flowers but they don't love me.
Nine times out of ten, a living plant will not thrive under my watch!
Just sharing some green facts with you. And here's my one layer card.

I stamped the large leaf from Petals and Stems in vine fashion. The berries were made
using the eraser end of a pencil and I used Avery Elle's pigment ink for the best ink coverage
on solid stamps. The sentiment is a discontinued one from Sentimental Swirls,
and I'm hoping that Jamie will revive that stamp set. It's such a pretty font.

Grab your botanical stamps or the free digital stamps and join the challenge.
The prize is an Avery Elle stamp set of your choice!
Visit the AEI♥U Challenge blog to see how my teammates were inspired
and we hope to see you in the Gallery.
