AEI♥U Challenge #5

 This week's AEI♥U Challenge is a color challenge, and here's the palette.

You don't have to be 100% exact with the colors, but try to get as close as you can.

Here's how the colors inspired me.

Mmmmmacarons! It's the first thing that came to mind when I saw the color palette.
I stamped the large macaron from Bonjour in three different "flavors" and masked them
so they appear to be stacked. A line of filling was added with white Enamel Accents.

Remember to use at least one Avery Elle stamp or digital stamp on your project
and the winner of the challenge will receive an Avery Elle stamp set of their choice.

Winnie & Walter Guest Star Day 2

Are you ready for more Winnie and Walter? Today I'm sharing my last projects

from this month's awesome release. You can probably tell that I had some Distress inks
and a spritzer bottle of water nearby for all three "watercolor" cards.

On the first card, I inked up the purse from Parentville with different colors of Distress inks

and spritzed them with water before stamping them on watercolor paper.

After the piece was dry, I stamped the mixed sentiment from The Big, The Bold
and the Happy and finished off the card with a few enamel dots.

I did the same thing on the second card, but lined up the purses

and stamped a sentiment from The Big, The Bold, and You. I added a black strip

of cardstock and finished off the card with some black enamel dots.

On my last card, I inked up flowers and leaves from The Write Stuff: Leave it to Mom

and spritzed them with water before stamping them diagonally on white card stock.

The gold embossed sentiment came from two different sets. The word "thanks" was altered

by removing the "s" as shown here by Shay to form the word "thank".

Love doctoring stamps whenever I can!

CAS(E) this Sketch 73 Meets Runway Inspired Challenge!

Jen Rzasa of Runway Inspired Challenge suggested a collaboration

with CAS(E) this Sketch. To say that the team was excited is an understatement.
We.were.ecstatic!

So how does this work, you ask?
As with all Runway Inspired Challenges, you draw inspiration from the photo.

And this time, you'll use a fun, trendy sketch by Joni to create your card.

Here's my card.

I was inspired by the flower on her top, and the graphic pattern on her shorts.

I white embossed the Five Line Background, fussy cut the bloom, then added a few leaves 

and gold embossed the sentiment from Mama Elephant.

Winnie and Walter Guest Star Day 1

I'm super excited to be a Guest Star this month at Winnie & Walter and

I can finally share my projects using their newest release.

My first card is a shaped one, using The Big, The Bold and You.

I was so happy that Winnie and Walter came out with a second set of sentiments

in that gorgeous font! The flowers and leaves are from The Write Stuff: Leave it to Mom.

For my second card, I inked up the cute handbag image from Parentville,

spritzed each color with a bit of water before stamping and let it dry. 

I went around each image with a black pen and added words randomly in each row. 

Honestly, I felt like an artiste after finishing this abstract card!

For the last card, I stamped the little bowtie from Parentville in assorted colors,

stamping off sometimes for a variation in color, then stamped the combined sentiment

from Parentville and The Big, The Bold and You.

I usually like to leave some white space, but I was having way too much fun

stamping all those bowties. Some of them were popped up for a bit of dimension.

Virginia's View Challenge #2--STENCILS

Virginia has done it again--chose a fun, trendy theme for her second challenge--STENCILS!

I'm entering these just under the wire. The first is a simple stenciled sunburst

from My Favorite Things, paired with the fun sentiment from Mama Elephant for

Studio Calico. And although you can't see it in the photo, I added a bit of glimmer
on the rays with a Wink of Stella pen.

My second card uses the stencil stamping with water technique.

I shared a pictorial on how to stamp a stencil with water here, and the awesome

Laura Bassen shared a video here. After the piece was dry, I gold embossed

the Winnie and Walter sentiment, and added a few gold stars.
