Circle It With Avery Elle

Today I'm showcasing CIRCLE IT, a new stamp set from Avery Elle.

And do you know what I got excited about, besides the GORGEOUS font?
The oh, so versatile row of dots!

I went a little gold crazy and stamped the dots at an angle with some delicious
Delicata Golden Glitz Ink. While I was gold embossing the sentiment,
some of the powder adhered to the dots but I liked the hologram effect and texture.

The stars were die cut from gold foil cardstock using
ORNAMENT: SIMPLY TAGS CHRISTMAS and popped up with dimensional tape.

For my second card, I stamped the row of dots with Hero Arts shadow inks
and finished off with the congratulatory sentiment and Avery Elle sequins.
Yep, I love that row of dots!

If you hopped along with us, be sure to check the Avery Elle blog
to see if you were the gift certificate winner. Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Avery Elle's December/January Release Hop

Welcome to Avery Elle's December/January Release Hop!
I hope you arrived here from JJ's blog. If not, start at Avery Elle because you'll want to leave
comments along the way and see the projects from the rest of the design team!
And joining us as guest designer this month is Kristen Foreman
who won the current AEI♥U challenge.

First, here's my card using Avery's Alpha dies.
I love a good set of alphabets and Avery's Alphas fit the bill perfectly.
This is such a clean, classic font. You'll have so much fun creating your own sentiments
or personalizing a card. The possibilities are endless!

I die cut JOY, LOVE and PEACE from Avery Elle's colored cardstock
and fashioned them into a Christmas tree shape on birch woodgrain cardstock.
The star is from Ornament: Simply Tags Christmas.

For my second card, I die cut alphabets from scraps of cardstock
and arranged the colorful letters to form the sentiment.
See what I mean by "endless possibilities"?

There's an awesome set of matching alpha stamps, but I was having way too much fun
with the dies. I'll be sharing cards using the stamps in a future post, so stay tuned!

CASual Fridays--Create With 8

CASual Fridays latest challenge is to create a clean and simple project
that uses 8 of something. And it's a two weeker--love those!--so I created two cards.

For my first card I die cut the Mod Tree three times and layered them
for a bit of dimension. Eight sequins were added and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

For my second card I white embossed 8 snowflakes and ink distressed a bit
to define them. A clear sequin was adhered in the center of each one.
The sentiment is also from Papertrey Ink.

And that's a wrap. Thanks for stopping by!

Washi Tape Inspiration

What inspires you when you create a card? I was inspired by washi tape.
As soon as I saw Hero Arts' new Tiny Flags Background stamp,
I knew that it was going to be gold embossed and ink distressed.

Here's the inspiration, given to me by a sweet friend.
It's so gorgeous that I'm still hoarding it.

And here are my cards.

My daughter's reaction to both cards:  "Wow....it's so......so......"
She had no words.

I'm entering both cards in Paper Crafts Connection November Gallery Challenge
of SEQUINS since I used a few on both cards. Because they needed more bling....

Thanks, always, for stopping by!
