Thankful Leaves

After watching Lawn Fawn's Kelly Marie share her new leaf dies here,
I was inspired to play with them and created a card.

I think I'll enter this in Moxie Fab World's Handmade Cards: Color Media Challenge
just under the wire.

I die cut the set of leaves on several colors of Avery Elle cardstock

and ink distressed them with Wild Honey and Walnut Stain distress inks. 

I tried to form them as if they were floating down and the sentiment

is from Jane's Doodles.

And yes, I die cut pink and blue leaves! By the time they were ink distressed,

they took on colors of their own. A bit whimsical, perhaps, but I love 

how vibrant it looks.

CAS(E) this Sketch! 50

This week we've reached a milestone at CAS(E) this Sketch with our 50th sketch!

And it's a fun one by Chrissy. Check it out.

And here's my take on it.

I die cut Hero Arts' Chrysanthemum from pink cardstock and added

the Technique Tuesday sentiment which was gold embossed on vellum.

Some gold sequins and one rounded corner finished off the card.

CASual Fridays 117--In Stitches

CASual Fridays 117 is to use stitches--real or faux--on your clean and simple project.

Here's my card.

I used the banners from Papertrey Ink and the wonky stitching

from Simon Says Stamp. The stitches were first stamped in Wet Cement

but it was too light so I went over it with a Copic Multiliner.

So does that make it double faux stitching? I think so!

Avery Elle Texture Tiles--Be Cute

Today I'm showcasing TEXTURE TILES--BE CUTE, a new set in the
Texture Tiles series designed by my teammie, Nina Yang. 

It's a versatile set for creating your own backgrounds

or if you just want to add a bit of texture to your card. Here's how I used it.

Would you believe I used stamps from four Avery Elle sets?
The dotted tile was stamped in Wet Cement Mid Tone ink and I like
 the mottled look which gives it even more texture.

The branch and die are from LAURELS, the birds are from LET IT SNOW,
and the sentiment is from LOTS OF LOVE.
See the yummy cardstock? It's the new SILVER FOX which is quickly becoming
my newest favorite neutral color of cardstock.
