More Petals and Stems

It's Week 3 of guest designing at Avery Elle

and today I'm sharing some cards made with Petals and Stems.

 

Truthfully, flowers don't "grab" me like they do on others,

but Petals and Stems is such a gorgeous stamp set and so versatile

 that it's hard to stop reaching for it and inking it up.

I went "old school" and used two of the smaller blooms for some simple cards.

These were so quick to create. I think they would make

great gift sets by stamping them in a variety of colors

and adding different sentiments within each set.

Playing With Paper

The latest Online Card Class is Pattern Play. Jennifer McGuire, Kristina Werner 

and friends are sharing tips and techniques for getting the most

out of patterned paper for card making.

I am a closet paperholic. Here is proof.
 

I counted the number of paper pads that I currently own.

134. And that was a rough count.
And there are a few straggler pads that missed the count.

Here is my card after Day 1's lesson. You may laugh.

I struggled to find the perfect papers to work with.
I think it's because I have too much paper.
 Hopefully Days 2 through 8 will get easier.

CAS(E) this Sketch #19

Here's the current sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch by Karolyn Loncon.
 

And here's my card.

I die cut a mask and sponged some color inside the square and a few flowers
and leaves were stamped on top. The banner sentiment and a bit of bling

finished off the card. I love how spring-y this turned out!
