MFT March Release Replay

It's time for My Favorite Things March Release Replay when the Creative Team
shares fresh ideas and more inspiration with the latest release.

For my project, the Bubble Over With Joy bunnies put aside their bubble wands
for an Easter themed card.

I always thought that one of the Tree-mendous tree shapes resembled an egg and this
was the perfect time to pair them with the bunnies. Three "egg" shapes were ink distressed
and three bunnies were colored with Copics and cut with the matching Die-namics.

The Horizontal Snow Drifts Cover-Up was embossed and adhered to a white card base.
The eggs were adhered to the card and the bunnies were popped up over them. I
stamped the sentiment, added a frame, and finished off the card with clear sequins.

MFT February Release Replay

It's time for My Favorite Things February Release Replay when the design team
shares fresh ideas and more inspiration with the latest release.

Here's my project using Birdie Brown's Birthday Chicks and my first attempt
at no line coloring.

I started out by stamping the seven chicks in the center of the card with
Distress inks in the same color as a Copic marker, masking when necessary,
and then colored them in. Separately, I stamped more chicks, colored them, and
cut them out with the matching dies.

The panel was cut with the wonky stitched rectangle, then adhered to a Stone
Gray card base. I added the extra chicks over the stamped ones, stamped the
sentiment, and finished off the card with clear sequins. To make their features pop,
I dotted their eyes with black Nuvo Drops, and drew in their beaks and feet.

Since I had an extra chick, I stamped a sentiment on the inside, and added
the chick over it. I should do this more often; now the card feels complete!

MFT January Release Replay

It's time for My Favorite Things Release Replay when the Creative Team
shares fresh ideas and more inspiration with the latest release.

Personally, I love Release Replay because it gives me a chance to share a
project with a product that initially stumped me, and I decide to give a closer
look. Case in point, the In Paris stamp set.

I was so intimidated with the small images and some of the details seemed pretty
intricate. I knew that I'd mess it up if I used Copic markers so I decided to use Zig
markers and a waterbrush. And I did some "messy" watercoloring since the
images have a more whimsical look.

All the images were quickly colored and cut with the matching Die-namics. I colored
in a sky, grass, and road, then adhered all the images over it. The piece was
framed and finished off with the sentiment.

Overall, I really like how this scene turned out, even though the Eiffel Tower is
way too close to the houses. But for "whimsical Paris" it's just fine.

MFT December Release Replay

It's time for My Favorite Things December Release Replay when the Creative
Team is challenged to share more ideas using the latest release.

I used the Stitched Tag Corner Square STAX for a bold, graphic (masculine!)
birthday card. Five shapes were cut from watercolor card stock, inked with
Distress inks and spritzed with water.

They were arranged on a Stone Gray card base--a couple were popped up with
dimensional tape--and the card was finished off with the sentiment and some
enamel dots.

MFT November Release Replay

It's time for MFT's November Release Replay when the Creative Team shares
fresh ideas and more inspiration with the November release.

Today I'm sharing a project using Ski Sons Greetings stamp set and
matching Die-namics. These bears are just too cute and I pictured a
father and son skiing down a snowy slope together.

Stone Gray card stock was white embossed with a wavy background and cut
with a wonky stitched rectangle. Two bears were stamped, colored with Copics,
and cut with the matching Die-namics.

They were popped up on the card and finished off with the white embossed
sentiment and sequins.

MFT October Release Replay Challenge

It's time for MFT's October Release Replay Challenge, when the Creative Team
shares more inspiration and fresh ideas with the recent release.

I chose to play with the Drifts & Hills Stencil and created an ocean
waves background for a sweet narwhal.

Using two Distress inks, I stenciled four sides of the stencil over a watercolor
card stock panel, then spattered water over it and adhered it to a Stone Gray
card base. The narwhal was stamped, colored with Copics, cut with the
matching Die-namics, then adhered over the stenciled piece.

The sentiment was white embossed on Blueberry card stock, then cut with
a sentiment strip and popped over the narwhal. Schools of fish were stamped
on the water, and the card was finished off with Nuvo Morning Dew Drops.

MFT September Release Replay

It's time for My Favorite Things September Release Replay when the
Creative Team shares more inspiration and ideas with the latest release.

Here's my project using the Pop Up Alphabet Die-namics.

Before cutting the alphabet apart, I had a "Kelly Griglione" moment and thought about
using the dies while they were still intact. After die cutting the entire alphabet (plus
the ampersand) from watercolor card stock, I flipped it over and taped down each
row because I knew I was going to ink distress over the letters.

I inked up watermelon colors using Distress inks, then spattered some water over it.
I cut out the "HI" from black card stock and adhered it over the letters on the
inked panel and used the Misti to stamp the second part of the sentiment.
Black Nuvo drops finished off the card as watermelon seeds.

MFT August Release Replay

It's Release Replay time over at My Favorite Things! The Creative Team has
fresh ideas and more inspiration for you using products from the last release.

I love Release Replay because it gives me a chance to use products in a different way
or even step out of my comfort zone.

Often times, smaller stamps in a set are overlooked or overshadowed by the larger
main images. I chose the leaves and buds from In Bloom, inked them in Distress inks
and misted the stamp with water before stamping them on watercolor card stock

Using the Big Thanks Die-namics, I cut right into the panel and used the camouflage
technique. Peeled Paint Distress ink was spattered on the panel, then cut with the
rectangle element from Blueprints 24 and adhered to a Latté card base.
Sparkling Clear sequins finished off the card.

MFT July Release Replay

Creative Team shares more ideas and inspiration with the latest release.

Earlier on Instagram I shared a pic of some critters from the July release--
hippos and tigers and cats. I decided to use a Smitten Kitten on my project.

A watercolor panel was ink distressed with Distress Oxide inks  and spattered
with water. A circle was cut from the card and the panel was adhered to a
Natural card base. The circular piece was rotated and placed in the opening.

The Happy Birthday Circle Frame was cut from Sour Apple card stock and
adhered around the circle. The kitty was colored with Copics and cut with
the matching Die-namics, then adhered inside the clrcle.

I fashioned a little party hat from patterned paper, stamped the sentiment
and finished off the card with a few enamel dots.

MFT June Release Replay Challenge

It's time for MFT's June Release Replay Challenge when the Creative Team
shares more inspiration and ideas with the latest release.

Here's my project, using the new Framework Stencil and the Big Thanks
Die-namics, which is the "free with $60" die that's added to a qualifying order.

Originally, I was planning to sponge ink over the stencil, then decided to do
some "water stamping". After ink distressing watercolor card stock with Distress
inks, the stencil was sprayed with water and placed over the inked panel.

You'll never know the results until the moment when you lift up the stencil,
and no two results are ever the same. The THANKS was cut from the center
of the panel after it was dried, and cut three more times from white card stock.

The letters were adhered together with the colored pieces on top and popped into
the negative space and adhered onto a Stone Gray card base. I stamped the
sentiment--one of my faves!--and finished off the card with sequins.
