Narelle brings us Freshly Made Sketches #705 and it looks like this.
I brought out a die that's at least 12 years old that was a favorite back then.
The Memory Box die is called Modern Landscape and I used my surgical skills
to cut the landscape apart and taper off some hills. All the pieces were inked
then colored with Zig markers and I couldn't resist some water spatter.
I stamped the sentiment on the bottom strip then adhered the three pieces
on a dot embossed card base.
Apologies for using "old" supplies but they were well loved and still are.
Thanks for stopping by!

Edited to add: Verena honored me with a Princess title for my card.
Thank you Verena and FMS!
Definitely no apologies needed on this one Donna...your card is FABULOUS!! Sometimes those older stamps and dies work so perfectly that it's just not right to not use them! I love how you used your surgical skills to create the sketch and your coloring is wonderful! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteDonna, this is breathtaking! Such a beautiful card and wonderful take on the sketch! It's always a treat to see you in the FMS gallery.
ReplyDeleteI love using old stamps and die cuts. This die cut will never go out of style and I love how you colored it!! Looks great!!
ReplyDeleteDonna, please don't apologize for using those cherished products - they might be 'old-ish' but never worn out! I couldn't love your use of Narelle's sketch more if I tried!

Donna this card jumped out at me in the FMS gallery and I had to come and take a closer look - it's gorgeous! The little scene you created with your dies is delightful and I love the watercoloured effect. This would have been perfect for our CAS watercolour challenge over at The Paper Players last week too. A fabulous card!
ReplyDeleteOH MY! MY!!
ReplyDeleteDonna! I have this die and never in 10 lifetimes would I have thought to use it soooo magically!
You are a truly amazing talent. Many thanks for sharing with us.

Love these sweet strips of green you used to make your scene! Pretty card!
ReplyDeleteThis is so creative! Time to dust off this die and put it use - thanks for inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThis is a fantastic use of this sketch, Donna! I'm impressed with the way you've inked these tiny images! WOW!
ReplyDeleteDonna, your cards are always so beautifully pulled together and pretty!
ReplyDeleteWow, Donna what an inspiration card. You knocked this one out of the ballpark with your use of the old die cut. I was excited to see the die in use in this fashion, as I have it in my stash. Beautiful card and well deserving comments and princess status.
