Jules has chosen "football colors" for Color Hues Challenge #107. They remind
me of a tropical summer.
I decided to go "leafy" with a favorite set of leaves from Altenew.
them in orange and the closest color I had to teal. I ran a card front through an
embossing folder, then mounted four leaves over it.
I usually like odd numbers but chose four leaves because I wanted equal
opportunity for both colors. I added a reverse sentiment strip and finished off
with some sequins.
Since I mentioned "summer" I may try a second card for the challenge.
But don't hold me to it. Thanks for stopping by!
You never fail to inspire me, Donna! I LOVE your leaves and four fit perfectly! Thanks so much for sharing this with us at Color Hues!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful design and would work so well with many of the Color.Hues pairings! I’ve never seen that embossing folder in action, but it’s terrific, too! Thanks for sharing with us at Color Hues.
ReplyDeleteHi Donna, the previous comment is mine. I entered it on my iPad, and was surprised to discover I'm "anonymous."
ReplyDeleteDonna, the colors do remind me of a tropical summer - but you had me a Summer Seersucker!! lol
ReplyDeleteI always love it when your wonderful leaves come out to play! x

I would have to 100 percent agree with Bonnie, Donna. This is just so pretty and so inspiring. I can see why these leaves are your favorite. I love the way you offset the base with the intricate piece on top. Four was the perfect number. Thanks for playing at Color Hues and for using the colors so well.
ReplyDeleteThose leaves are frab, so summery and I love the embossed background too. Thanks for joining us at Color Hues. :)

ReplyDeleteDonna the embossing folder, oh my, then the leaves you added to it--oh my again! Such a gorgeous card!
