CAS(E) this Sketch #354

Hello! Ready for a new CAS(E) this Sketch? Here's Sketch #354, a little
something from yours truly.

And here's my simplified take on it.

I white embossed You Have the Biggest Heart on watercolor card stock, then
ink distressed bands of color across the sentiment. I die cut the image with
a stitched rectangle die. A piece of striped diagonal paper was adhered to
gray card stock then popped up with the stamped panel.

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see how the rest of the team interpreted the
sketch and join us if you can. Link up your card(s) by Thursday, January
16th and as the weekly winner you'll be invited to join us on a future sketch!

Memory Box Challenge #57--Friendship

I treated myself to some Memory Box dies for Christmas and decided use them
in their latest challenge with a Friendship theme.

https://davebrethauer.typepad.com/outsidethebox/2020/01/memory-box-challenge-57-friendship.html

The bottom layer of the leaves were colored with a combination of Zigs and Distress
inks, and the outlines were cut from gold card stock. Wonky stitching was dry embossed
on a card base then topped with the leaves and gold embossed sentiment. The card was
finished off with small gold sequins.

I love these leaf dies and I know I'll be using them again. Thanks for stopping by!

CAS(E) this Sketch #353

Happy New Year to you! CAS(E) this Sketch is ready to bring you even more
sketches in 2020 and we do hope that you'll join us!

Teammie Brian starts us off with this one. Meet Sketch #353.

And here's my simplified take on it, because I wanted to use Hero Arts'
Nautilus die.

The die appears to be a crosswise cut of a nautilus shell. I amped up the colors
after seeing this print on Pinterest. After assembling the die cut pieces, I adhered it
to an embossed and spattered card base, then finished off with a gold embossed
sentiment and a sprinkling of gold sequins .

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see how the rest of the team interpreted Brian's sketch
and join us if you can. Link up your card(s) by Thursday, January 9th and as the
weekly winner, you'll be invited to join us on a future sketch!

MFT December 2019 Hits & Highlights--Putttin' on the Glitz

For this month's Hits and Highlights, we're ringing in the New Year--and a brand
new decade--with glamorous looks that feature lots of shimmer and shine!

The numbers were cut from glitter card stock in rainbow colors, and stars were cut from
silver glitter card stock. I colored the ala mode girl in neutral tones and added some
sparkle to the champagne with a Wink of Stella pen.

The girl and numbers were adhered to a black panel, together with the stars and the
silver embossed sentiment. I adhered the panel to a dark gray card base and finished off
the card with dots from a silver pen.

This is my last project as a member of the MFT Creative Team. It was a fun, 4-year
ride and I was honored to be a part of it. Huge thanks to Kim, Jody, and Stephanie
for the opportunity to create and share with MFT products!

CASology Week #358--BRANCH

I'm joining the last CASology challenge of the year and here's the cue word:

And here's my take on the word.

I've wanted to own the Paper Smooches Dove Die for a long time and waited
for the right time to use it on a project. I die cut the dove three times from
white card stock and was happy that one layer stayed intact.

Two outline layers were adhered together, then onto the "solid" piece.
I colored the olive branch and eye with Copic markers, adhered the dove,
stamped the sentiment and rounded off one corner for a bit of interest.

I'd like to take this time to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a
safe holiday filled with peace, love and joy.

Edited to add: My card was chosen as the weekly winner! Thanks so much, Jacquie

MFT December Birthday Project Challenge--CAS Wishes

Clean and simple is the theme this month. We hope you'll take a few minutes
out of your busy schedule to join us and you could be the winner of a
$50 MFT gift voucher!

I did minimal coloring on a Bitty Bear and cut him out with the matching
Die-namics. A spatter design was stamped on a card base and topped with the
bear on dimensional adhesive. A stamped sentiment and strip of patterned
paper were added and finished off with some small clear sequins.

Visit the MFT blog for all the details and deadline on this month's birthday
challenge and we hope to see your clean and simple cards in the gallery!

CAS(E) this Sketch #352

Meet Sketch #352, compliments of Chrissy.

Here's my take on it.

Do you spy Altenew's Painted Fantasy washi tape? Guilty! I just couldn't resist.
I adhered a piece to white card stock, then trimmed two strips per the sketch.
I added a skinny strip of pink card stock then finished off with the sentiment.

Remember that this is a two week challenge. Your card(s) are due on Thursday,
January 2nd, 2020 and as the winner you'll be invited to guest with us

MFT Wed Sketch Challenge #468

Here's this week's MFT Wed Sketch Challenge #468.

And here's my take on the sketch. I just couldn't resist using some Bitty Bears!

The Christmas text background was stamped on Grout Gray card stock and
topped with four bears, per the sketch. The stamped sentiment and a sprinkling
of enamel dots finished off the card.

Visit the MFT blog for all the details on how you could be the random winner of
a $50 MFT gift voucher when you enter the challenge!

Adventure is Calling--MFT December Vault Release Day 2

It's Day 2 of sharing projects from MFT's December Vault Release!

If you missed it during its original release, you can now add Birdie Brown's
Adventure is Calling to your stamp collection.

I loved Birdie Brown's "big girl" images because they were easy to color (for me!) and
you could always add more details and build up a scene.

I made two cards using the image--one in portrait and the other in landscape view.
On both cards I stamped the skyline over a panel of ink distressed sky. In hindsight
I should have masked the buildings on the second card, before spattering--it looks
like snow during summer......😲

We hope you liked this month's Vault Release and found something new or
something you missed the first time around. Happy shopping!

Serenity Now--MFT December Vault Release

Are  you ready? MFT is opening up the December Vault! All products are available
for purchase now in the MFT Store! Today and tomorrow we'll be sharing new-to-you
goodies, or something that you had your eye on but missed the first time around.
Now's your chance to grab it!

My card features Pure Innocence Serenity--a cute little yoga gal.

I did a bit of altering on her outfit--baring a little midriff for an updated look.
She was fussy cut and wisps of bangs were drawn in.

Two colors of Distress inks were inked on a white card base, then spattered
with gold watercolor ink. I made her a yoga mat from green card stock, and
popped her on top of it. The card was finished off with the stamped sentiment.

Visit today's post at My Favorite Things to see more of the Vault Release and
start filling up your cart!
