MFT Wed Sketch Challenge #459

Here's this week's MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #459.

And here's how I interpreted the sketch

I changed up the layering order of the elements with a nighttime sky created with
the Brush Spatter Background white embossed on dark gray card stock. The building
Die-namics was inked in rainbow colors and popped up on the card. The white
embossed sentiment finished off the card.

Visit today's post at MFT for all the details on how you can be the random winner
of a $50 MFT gift voucher when you join us for the challenge!
We hope to see you in the gallery!

More October Vault Inspiration

Today we bring you even more inspiration using MFT's October Vault Release!
Comfy Sweater Die-namics has emerged from the Vault, and I've paired it
with a marshmallow lovin' penguin from Birdie Brown's Toasty Greetings
for an original, one-of-a-kind sweater!

The Knitted Sweater Background was white embossed on kraft card stock
and inked lightly to bring out the stitching lines. The collar and trimmings
were ink distressed and adhered to the sweater.

The little penguin was stamped, colored with Copics, and cut with the matching
Die-namics. I "appliquéd" him to the front of the sweater, then popped up the
sweater on a Primitive Cream card base.

A scrap strip of the cable knit pattern was adhered on the bottom of the card and
finished off with the stamped sentiment. How cute is that sweater?

We hope you'll find something you love in this month's Vault Releaase. Don't forget
to use #mftstamps whenever you share your projects on social media!

We're Opening up MFT's Vault!

Are you ready to see  MFT's October Vault Release?

It could be a new-to-you stamp set or something you missed during its original
release. And the good news is, you may purchase the October Vault Release now
in the MFT Store!

Today's project features another àla mode girl--Merry and Bright. She was
stamped, colored with Copics, then cut with the matching Die-namics. While it's
not necessary to cut out the image (I don't believe the original had matching
Die-namics) I wanted to give it a try and it's amazing! It even cuts out the little
spaces within the image!

Balloon Strings was stamped with dark pink ink on Razzle Berry card stock
for a tone on tone look. The àla mode girl was popped up on an oval piece then
adhered to the card base. A white embossed sentiment finished off the card.

This àla mode girl and more are waiting for you now in the MFT Store.
Stop by tomorrow for another day of Vault Release inspiration!

CASology Week #353--FEATHER

Talk about under the wire. I had my CASology entry ready to go but totally
forgot to write up the blog post. Duh! So it's less than a day until the deadline
and here we go...

https://casology.blogspot.com/2019/10/week-353-feather.html

Ah, feathers. I love them almost as much as leaves. I've done a few feathery cards
in the past but it's my first time using this Spellbinders feather.

I was going for a peacock feather and you should have seen the attempts
that ended up in the trash. "What are those big, black dots???" So I went with
an ombré feather with gold spatters. A Gina K Designs sentiment completes
the card. Oh, and a rounded bottom corner.

And now I'm off to link this up. Thanks for stopping by!

CAS(E) this Sketch #343

CAS(E) this Sketch #343 is a retro one from former teammie Hannelie.

Here's my 2016 take on it.

And here's what I came up with three years later. Yep, I love those leaves.

Five leaves were cut and inked and spattered with gold ink. Whimsical Woodgrain
was stamped on kraft card stock with kraft ink. The leaves were adhered to the card
per the sketch and finished off with the gold embossed sentiment.

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see how the rest of the team interpreted the sketch
and join us if you can. Link up your card(s) by Thursday, October 17th.
Hope to see you in the gallery!

MFT's October 2019 Release and MFT & Friends

Yes, it's time! The MFT Store is now open and you may shop for the awesome
October Release! All new goodies can be found here.

It's also time for MFT & Friends when the Creative Team--and friends--share
more ideas and inspiration using the new Release!

I just love Birdie Brown's Christmas sELFies and colored up the handsome
polar bear in the set.

After cutting out the image with the square selfie Die-namics, I adhered it behind
a Polaroid frame and stamped the sentiment on top. A strip of patterned paper
was adhered to a Grout Gray card base, then I popped up the Polaroid and
the card was done.

All right, off you go! And today's the day to comment on all team members' blogs
for a chance to win one of two $100 MFT gift vouchers!
Good luck and happy shopping!

Final Countdown Day Until MFT's October Release!

Yay! It's the final countdown day until MFT's October Release! All new goodies
will go on sale tomorrow October 8th at 10AM EST!

Today  I'm sharing two projects because there's  just so much holiday goodness
this month! The first uses Merry Christmas Blend together with 'Tis the Season
 on the background.

The Merry Christmas Blend is a follow up to the popular Happy Birthday Blend
which makes for quick cards if you use the Misti or any type of stamp positioner.
I stamped the "Merry" in pinks and reds, and the "Christmas" in two shades of
green, directly onto a panel.

The snowman and smaller images from 'Tis the Season were stamped on the panel
in Grout Gray ink. The second part of the sentiment was stamped in dark brown ink
and the panel was adhered to a kraft card base and finished off with sequins,

My second card pairs the Classic Snow Globe and an image from Merry Moments.

When I first saw the image, I could picture them snuggled inside the
snow globe. Brush Spatter Background was white embossed on watercolor
card stock then ink distressed in several shades of blue ink. The base of the
snow globe was stamped in wood grain and the globe was assembled
on a Primitive Cream card base.

The image was stamped, colored, and die cut to fit the inside the globe.
I stamped the sentiment beneath the globe and finished off the card with
a few mini stars cut from white and silver glitter card stock.

It's 2 More Days Until MFT's October Release!

It's just two more sleeps until MFT's October Release! Have you got your
wish lists ready?

Today I'm sharing another new Die-namics--Joyful Wreath. There's also a Joyful
Wreath Stamp set, but I've chosen to work with just the dies for my project.

The wreath was die cut from two shades of green card stock and inked lightly to
give it more dimension. The All Lined Up Background was stamped on kraft
with white pigment ink, then the panel was adhered to a card base.

I added the wreath, berries, then finished off the card with the two part sentiment.

By now you know the drill: Visit today's Countdown post at My Favorite Things
for more peeks at the October Release, and leave a comment there for a chance
to win a $75 prize!

3 More Days Until MFT's October Release!

We're halfway to MFT's October Release! All new goodies will go on sale
Tuesday, October 8th at 10AM EST in the MFT Store!

When I first saw the Sun-Lovin' Santa, I couldn't wait make a card with him.
I love his Aloha shirt and sandals and the decorated palm tree is so fun! I'm not
adding the flamingo in the set, so I'm calling him a Hawaiian Santa. 😉

Brush Spatter Background was white embossed on watercolor card stock then ink
distressed and cut with the largest Stitched Dome STAX Die-namics. Kraft card stock
was torn and inked with white pigment ink and white embossed to resemble snow,

All the images were stamped in dark gray ink, colored and cut with the matching
Die-namics. They were adhered to the dome piece, then adhered to a white card
base. The white embossed sentiment finished off the card.

Visit today's Countdown post at My Favorite Things for more peeks at the
October Release and don't forget to leave a comment there for a chance to win
a $75 prize! Thanks for stopping by today!

4 More Days Until MFT's October Release!

We're counting down the days until MFT's October Release!

The October Release is chock full of holiday stamps, Die-namics and stencils
and today I decided to play with the new Little Town of Bethlehem Die-namics.

The building pieces were die cut from watercolor card stock, ink distressed and
layered together. The ground was cut from light gray card stock and adhered
on the bottom of the buildings, then popped up on a dark gray card base.

I chose an older, smaller sentiment and heat embossed it with platinum embossing
powder. I wanted the Star of Bethlehem to be the same platinum color, so I used
Jennifer McGuire's faux metal embossing technique and created a platinum star.
I adhered the star and added some extra sparkle with a metallic pen.
