MFT's October Release Countdown Begins!

Get ready for tons of holiday inspiration with My Favorite Things October Release
and it's a HUGE one with everything from cute to whimsical to contemporary.

And be sure to welcome MFT's newest design team member--CALY PERSON.
I just love her work and know her as the sweetest (and busiest!) blogger.

Birdie Brown starts us off with Christmas sELFies--a festive follow up to her
popular Picture Perfect stamp set.

I chose the trio of snowmen for some holiday Polaroids. They were stamped
and colored with watercolor pencils and a water brush. I cut them out with
the Selfie Square Die-namics, then mounted a patterned paper frame over them.

Another frame was cut from Christmas text paper, and they were layered and
adhered to a white card base. The card was finished off with the stamped sentiment.

Visit today's Countdown post at My Favorite Things for more peeks at the
October Release and leave a comment there for a chance to win a $75 prize!

CAS(E) this Sketch #342

Here's this week's CAS(E) this Sketch #342, compliments of yours truly.

And here's my simplified take on it. A little too simplified, maybe?

I stamped the girl's head and the scarf right under her. The image was colored with
Copics and fussy cut. Patterned paper covered most of a white card base. Hot pink
eyeglasses were stamped on the girl, then she was popped up on the card and
finished off with the sentiment.

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see how the rest of the team interpreted the sketch
and join us if you can. Link up your card(s) by Thursday, October 10th and as
the weekly winner, you'll be invited to guest with us on a future sketch!

MFT Wed Sketch Challenge #457

Are you ready? Here's this week's MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #457.

And here's my take on it.

I stayed pretty true to the sketch and managed to use a little trick o' treater.
Originally, I cut the stitched circle window and placed the mouse behind it
but the circle was a tad too small, so I adhered a patterned paper circle over it
and I'm much happier with the result. And, the mouse looks happy, too.

Visit the MFT blog for all the details on how you could be the random winner
of a $50 MFT gift voucher when you enter the challenge! Hope you'll join us!

CAS(E) this Sketch #341

Teammie Brian brings us this week's CAS(E) this Sketch.
Meet Sketch #341.

Here's my take on it.

It was serendipitous that I organized my dies, finding Penny Black's By the
Numbers die that I enjoyed playing with. I diecut the piece from watercolor
card stock and inked it with Hero Arts Reactive inks, then spattered it
with water and gold ink.

I diecut the piece twice more from kraft card stock and adhered them to form
a thick chipboard piece. The piece was adhered to a kraft card base then
topped with the gold embossed sentiment.

sketch and join us if you can. Link up your card(s) by Thursday, October 3rd.
Hope to see you in the gallery!

Here's More September Vault Release Inspiration

It's the second day of MFTs  September Vault Release. Today I'm sharing the
Game Controller Die-namics and Level Up Stamp Set which was so popular
during its first run. If you missed it then, now's the time to grab it!

The main piece was cut from dark gray card stock and inked on the edges
for a bit of dimension. The buttons were cut from black card stock and adhered
in their respective spaces. The colorful buttons were cut from MFT's card stock
and adhered in place.

I adhered the piece to a Grout Gray panel which was then adhered to a black
card base. The sentiments were stamped above and below the controller and I
added some shine to the buttons.

This is such a fun set for gamers of all ages and, along with the rest of the September
Vault Release, is waiting for you now in the MFT Store! Happy shopping!

We're Opening MFT's September 2019 Vault!

Once again, there's something for everyone, whether you missed it during
its first Release, or find something completely new-to-you. And the best part is,
they're all waiting for you NOW in the MFT Store!

I'm sharing a project using  Miss You a Latté from MFT's à la mode line.
I remember these stamps but I've never owned an à la mode girl before so
I was happy to color her, especially with her large cups of coffee--so fun!

The à la mode gal was stamped and colored with Copic markers. The cups were
colored in festive red and I added a small green heart on the cup cozy, then cut her
out with the matching Die-namics. I stamped a kraft card base with the Knitted
Sweater background stamp in kraft ink for a tone on tone look and a bit of texture.

I cut out a rectangle large enough to frame the girl and white embossed the
sentiment on the side. The girl was popped up on the inside of the rectangle and
the back was covered with a kraft panel. The card looked a little plain so I added
two skinny strips on the card that was inked in ombré browns.

Grab this à la mode gal, and the rest of the September Vault Release, while you can.
Stop by tomorrow for more ideas and inspiration!

MFT September Birthday Project--Barking Birthday Wishes

Our pets are part of the family and deserve a spot in our birthday greetings.
Whether sending birthday wishes from yourself and your furry friends, or to a
pet lovin' friend, adding a pup or kitty conveys an undeniable friendship.

This month, join the Birthday Project Challenge by adding a dog, cat, or any mix
of the two on your birthday project.

For my project I put together Puppy Love and decided to gift him with a few
bones. After  adding some color to the background, I topped it with the grass and
tucked in some bones before adhering the pup. The card was finished off with
the sentiment.

Are you ready to join the challenge? Just add a pup or kitty to your project
and you could be the random winner of a $50 MFT gift voucher!

CAS(E) this Sketch #340

Are you ready to play along with CAS(E) this Sketch?
Here's this week's sketch, compliments of Nathalie.

And here's my take on it.

I've had the Hero Arts chameleon stamp set for quite a while and thought he'd
be perfect for the sketch. He was white embossed and inked in rainbow colors
then popped up on a card base. The punny sentiment finished off the card.

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see how the rest of the team interpreted the
sketch, and join us if you can, Link up your card(s) by Thursday, Sept 26th
and as the weekly winner you'll be invited to guest with us on a future sketch!

MFT Starry Night Card Kit Release Day

It's time! You may now purchase MFT's Starry Night Card Kit in the MFT Store!
I have one more project to share with you using products in the kit together
with products you may already have.

(Note: All products in the kit are shown in boldface type.)

I painted a panel of watercolor card stock with the Color Burst powder that was
diluted with water and I love how it turned out! When the panel was dried, I
cut it with the Starry Night Vertical Die-namics and adhered it to a card base.

When I saw the sentiment, I looked for a critter that appeared to be wishing
upon a star and found Sweetest Somebunny. I stamped her and colored her
with Copic markers, then cut her with the matching Die-namics.

The two part sentiment was gold embossed and I popped up the bunny and
added a shiny silver star. I grounded her with some Copics and rounded off
the corners to complete the card.

Off you go to grab your Card Kit! Make sure you visit all participating
Creative Team members' blogs and leave a comment for a chance to be the
random winner of a $50 MFT gift voucher. Good luck and happy shopping!

More Starry Night Card Kit Inspiration

Are you ready for more project ideas using MFT's Starry Night Card Kit?
Today I'm sharing a card using products from the kit together with other products
that you may already own.

I smooshed some Chipped Sapphire Distress inks onto a craft mat, sprayed it with
water, then lay down watercolor card stock. When it was dried, I added more color
with an ink blending tool to give dimension to the sky.

I diecut the Starry Night Vertical Die-namics and adhered it to a white card base.
The little trick-or-treater was popped up on the card, and the sentiment was
stamped beside her.

I stamped a few bats in the sky and decided to finish off the card with a
big, bright moon.
Don't forget to visit the MFT blog for even more inspiration from participating
team members and leave a comment there for a chance to win a $25 prize!
Hope you'll stop by tomorrow for Card Kit Release Day!
