MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #453

It's Wednesday, time for a new MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge.
Here's Sketch #453.

And here's how I interpreted the sketch.

I substituted a mug of hot cocoa (with whipped cream!) for the circle element.
A piece of kraft card stock was stamped with the Knitted Sweater Background
stamp and adhered to a white card base.

Two strips of red and white diagonal striped paper were adhered to the
card per the sketch. The cocoa mug was popped up on the card and finished
off with the white embossed sentiment strip.

$50 MFT gift voucher when you join the challenge. We hope to see you in the gallery!

MFT September 2019 Release and MFT & Friends

It's time! You may now purchase MFT's September Release in the MFT Store!
All new goodies are waiting for you here.

It's also time for MFT & Friends when the Creative Team--and friends--share new
ideas and more inspiration with the September Release!

I chose Floral Focus for my project and this time I used the entire image. I stamped
it with Versafine Onyx Black ink and clear embossed it, then colored it with Zig
markers and a water brush.

I used the negative space of the Skinny Stripes Horizontal Die-namics as a holder for
the blooms. I popped it up on a Grout Gray card base, then tucked in the flowers.

The set has several sentiments in a gorgeous font, but I decided to use one from
the Bitty Thanks & Gratitude set. I white embossed it on dark gray card stock
and cut it out with skinny strips Die-namics. Clear sequins finished off the card.

Okay, off you go! And today's the day when you visit all participating Team members'
blogs and leave a comment by Thursday, September 5th for a chance to win one of two
$100 MFT gift vouchers. Thanks so much for stopping by during the countdown and
happy shopping!

Coffee Date Soon?--One Day Until MFT's September Release

It's the final day of MFT's September Release Countdown! All new goodies
will go on sale tomorrow, September 3rd at 10AM EST in the MFT Store.

Do you like the look of "spatter" on your cards but don't want to fuss with a
brush and the mess? Then you'll love the Brush Spatter Background Stamp!

I created two more cups with knitted cozies and placed them temporarily
on my card to decide where I wanted the spatter. After cutting the panel with
the wonky stitched rectangle die, I placed it in the Misti and inked up only
a portion of the stamp before stamping it on the panel.

I adhered the two cups and added the white embossed sentiment from Cup of
Love then adhered the panel to a Cement Gray card base. The spatter stamp is
rather large but versatile because you can ink up only a portion of the stamp
to suit your needs.

Stop by the MFT blog for more peeks at the new Release and don't forget to
leave a comment there for a chance to win a $75 prize. And stop by
tomorrow for Release Day!

You Rule--2 Days Until MFT's September Release

It's two more days until MFT's September Release! Is your wish list growing
longer by the day?

Birdie Brown has two teacher stamp sets this month--a male and a female.
I chose to use the male teacher--Favorite Teacher--on today's project.

I stamped, colored and cut out the teacher then prepared his "classroom".
Whimsical Woodgrain was stamped on kraft card stock with white pigment ink.
A piece was cut for the floor and a smaller piece for the chalkboard rail.

I assembled the chalkboard and stamped the rulers across the top and white
embossed the sentiment. I swiped some white pigment on the chalkboard
for a "chalky" effect. Two apples (from Lessons in Love) were stamped,
colored and cut, then adhered to the chalkboard railing.

Thanks, Friend--3 Days Until MFT's September Release

We're halfway to MFT's September Release! All new products will go on sale
Tuesday, September 3rd at 10AM EST.

Today I'm sharing a project using the new Floral Focus Stamp and Die-namics
paired with Bitty Thanks & Gratitude and a peek at a background stamp
which will be previewed in a few days.

I stamped the entire image in Versafine Onyx Black ink, then clear embossed
it because I planned to watercolor with Zig markers. After die cutting the image,
I decided to use just the flower on the left.

Spatters were stamped on a Grout Gray card base, then topped with the bloom
and frame. The two part sentiment finished off the card.

Visit today's Countdown post for more peeks at the new release and more
inspiration from the Creative Team. And don't forget to leave a comment there
for a chance to win a $75 prize!

MFT September 2019 Release Countdown Day 4

There's more caffeine fun on Day 4 of MFT's September Release Countdown!

Café All Day is a new take out cup Die-namics and I couldn't resist adding on
knitted cup cozies to my project.

After white embossing the Knitted Sweater Background, I cut up small pieces and
ink distressed them, then used the cozy Die-namics to cut each one out. I lightly
inked the edges of the cups and inked the covers in a darker shade.

I assembled the cups and adhered them to a kraft card base, popping up the
middle one for a bit of dimension. I white embossed the sentiment and at the last
moment, found a shiny heart in my stash that was the perfect finishing touch.

forget to leave a comment there for a chance to win a $75 prize!

MFT September 2019 Release Countdown Day 5

It's time to showcase MFT's September 2019 Release! Get ready for autumnal
goodness plus a little caffeine thrown in for good measure.

This month, Birdie Brown brings us two fun sets-- Sweater Weather in the Woods
and Sweater Weather on Safari--cute little critters with a cozy caffeine theme
that I paired with the Knitted Sweater Background Stamp.

I stamped two bears and colored one of them as a polar bear. The sweater background
was white embossed, ink distressed with several colors of ink, then trimmed and adhered
to a card base. I stamped the small "to go" cup in light gray ink, then adhered and popped
up the bears and finished off with the sentiment.

CAS(E) this Sketch #337

CAS(E) this Sketch #337 is a little something from me, and it look like this.

Here's my take on the sketch.

I substituted a teapot and teacup for the circles in the sketch. I found an inked
scrap that was trimmed and adhered to a Natural card base. I added the
elements and finished off with the stamped sentiment.

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see how the rest of the team was inspired by the
sketch and join us if you can. Link up your card(s) by Thursday, September 4th
and as the weekly winner you'll be invited to guest with us on a future sketch!

MFT Wed Sketch Challenge #452

Are you ready for this week's MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge?
Meet Sketch #452.

Here's my take on it .

Three hedgehogs were stamped, colored and cut with the matching Die-namics.
I cut out three circles per the sketch and ink distressed them in summery colors.
Whimsical Woodgrain was stamped on kraft card stock with white pigment ink.

The circles were adhered to the card and topped with a hedgehog. Sentiments
were white embossed and cut with skinny strips Die-namics then adhered
over each hedgehog.

There are so many possibilities with this sketch! Come and play along with us
and you could be the random winner of a $50 MFT gift voucher! Visit the MFT blog
for all the details and deadline and we hope to see you in the gallery!

CAS(E) this Sketch #336

Teammie Brian brings us this week's CAS(E) this Sketch #336.

I turned the sketch 90° counterclockwise and came up with this.

Once again, a scrap of an alcohol inked piece saved the day. I cut the bottom
with a wavy Die-namics and adhered it to a card. I popped up the dolphin and very
carefully white embossed the sentiment. Yupo paper will warp badly if heated too
high with a heat gun so I took about 20 swipes back and forth, making sure it
wouldn't curl. And it didn't!  Rounded corners and sequins finished off the card.

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see how the rest of the team interpreted Brian's
sketch and join us if you can. Link up your card(s) by Thursday, August 29th
and as the weekly winner you'll be invited to join us on a future sketch!
