Paper Smooches Cuppa Sunshine

Have you seen Paper Smooches' June 2019 Release? It's just bursting with

sunshine goodness! I may have squealed when I saw the Cuppa Sunshine dies

and the samples from the design team convinced me that I "needed" it.

Here's my first card using the new dies. Isn't that mug the cutest?

I ink distressed the solid cup piece with the new Hero Arts Reactive Inks.

They blend so smoothly over white card stock. The overlay was cut from white 

card stock and adhered over the solid piece.

Smiley faces were stamped on the sun and cloud. The mug was grounded with a strip 

of green patterned paper and finished off with the sentiment and rising steam.

I wish that I had a mug like this--it would definitely make every day great! 😉

Simon Says Stamp's Clustered Leaves Wafer Die was cut from watercolor

card stock and ink distressed with green inks. It's a large diecut piece so I

trimmed it to fit a card base then topped it with the scalloped piece.

The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.

MFT Wed Sketch Challenge #441

Meet this week's MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #441.

And here's my take on it.

I white embossed a Brilliant Bloom and leaves and colored them with daubers
and Distress inks, then cut them out with the matching Die-namics. Squares of
white card stock and printed paper were layered on a Grout Gray card base per
the sketch. The stamped sentiment finished off the card.

Tag You're It Challenge #89--Umbrellas

Tag You're It Challenge #89 has a fun, colorful theme--UMBRELLAS!

Here's the inspiration photo.

And here's my take on it.

 Five umbrellas were cut from watercolor card stock and four of them were ink
distressed then adhered onto a light gray tag. The sentiment strip was adhered to
the bottom of the tag. Raindrops were added with Nuvo Crystal Glaze and
finished off with the gray and white twine tied through the tag.

Six Bitty Bears were stamped, colored with Copics, then cut with the matching
Die-namics. I assembled them per the sketch on a card base and stamped the
sentiment in between them.

MFT June 2019 Release and MFT & Friends

It's time! MFT's June 2019 Release is live and waiting for you in the MFT Store!

It's also time for MFT & Friends when the Creative Team--and guests--share fresh

ideas and more inspiration using the new release.

I always feel there aren't enough masculine cards and when I saw the shark from
Friends With Fins, this idea came to mind and I love how it turned out.

I ink distressed a strip of watercolor card stock and spritzed it with some water.
The bite marks were made courtesy of the watermelon bite Die-namics although
I wish they were a little more pointy and sharklike.

I added the shark that was stamped and colored with Copics and cut with the
matching Die-namics. The white embossed sentiment was made with some surgery
on an older stamp set. Sequins finished off the card.

My Favorite Things is in the business of giving, and during the month of June,
10% of all retail sales of Friends With Fins will be donated to Charity: Water, which
provides clean water to thousands of people. How jawsome is that?

MFT June Release Countdown Day 1

Today I'm sharing a floral card using Tropical Flowers paired with a previous
 "free with $60"  Thank You Die-namics.

I inked, water sprayed then stamped assorted flowers and leaves on watercolor
card stock. I die cut through the panel with the sentiment, backed it with tape, then
cut it from dark brown card stock. The sentiment was then puzzle pieced into the
respective openings.

After adhering the panel to a kraft card base, the card was finished off with
sparkling clear sequins.

MFT June Release Countdown Day 2

It's two more sleeps until My Favorite Things June Release! All new products
will on sale Tuesday, June 4th at 10AM EST in the MFT Store.

Today we're featuring Tropical Flowers and a new sentiment die and stamp set.

I chose the leafy frond from the set and stamped a wreath using the GKD Wreath
Builder Templates. and my Misti. I used several shades of green ink to stamp the
wreath and added colorful dots with Copic markers.

The new "hello" sentiment is a new favorite--such a gorgeous font! The sentiment
was cut from dark gray card stock and adhered over the wreath, then finished off
with the second part of the sentiment. I adhered the panel to a Grout Gray base.

MFT June Release Countdown Day 3

We're halfway through MFT's June Release Countdown!

This month's Pure Innocence is Hey Sunshine--a sweet bathing beauty cooling
off in a pool or at the beach. I chose the pool.

A watercolor panel was ink distressed with two colors of Distress inks. 

The whimsical waves background stamp was sprayed with water then 

"stamped" on the inked piece which took away the color and gave me the

effect that I wanted.

After stamping the little girl, I gave her a two piece suit with the help of a

Copic multiliner pen. She was colored with Copics and details were added with

a white pigment pen, then cut with the matching Die-namics.

The colored panel was adhered to a kraft card base and the girl was popped up

over it. The card was finished off with the sentiment and sparkling clear sequins.
