Challenge #4 at Tag You're It! is brought to you by my teammate, Marion.

Here's my project--a tag card. It's a small card shaped like a tag
with a bit more room for a little handwritten note.

I was inspired by the die cut flowers that Marion used. I watercolored Fresh Daisies
and attached them to a kraft tag card base that was stamped with a Graph Background.
The sentiment is a hybrid from Papertrey Ink and Winnie&Walter. I finished off the tag
with some rayon seam binding that was dyed with Peeled Paint Distress ink.

CAS(E) this Sketch 88 is a little ditty by........me! Here it is.

And here's my take on it.

 

I can't believe that I had such a hard time with a sketch that I designed.

I had much simpler visions when I first dreamed up the sketch.

Maybe it looked too much like a card I'd already done.

I grabbed Altenew's Hennah Elements and gold embossed the flowers and leaves
and colored them in with watercolors. The sentiment is also by Altenew.

I followed Yana's awesome tutorial here, and used a circle stamp from Simon Says Stamp
together with Hero Arts' mid tone inks and a sentiment from Papertrey Ink.

It's not perfect stamping--see the white "holes"?--and the gemstones
are supposed to distract you. (Wink!)

Catchy Challenges Guest Designer

I'm honored to be a guest designer for blogging friend Deepti Stephens

who started a new challenge blog called Create Something Catchy.

This month's theme is PATTERNED PAPER and here's my card.

I went with banners and butterflies because I wanted to showcase

Avery Elle's Brights and Sorbet Collection.
 The flags were die cut with Avery Elle's Dotted Elle-ments
and some small butterflies were also punched from the patterned papers.
The card was finished off with my fave Paper Smooches sentiment.

Avery Elle Challenge #13--KRAFT

AEI♥U Challenge #13 is KRAFT. Use a little or use a lot,
and make sure you use at least one Avery Elle stamp on your project.

Here's my card.

I went for a chalkboard effect and white embossed sentiments from Many Thanks
on paper bag kraft card stock, then mounted it on lighter kraft card stock.
I added some enamel dots for a pop of color and tied on kraft twine,
leaving the ends long ala Wida Miller.
