Avery Elle Handwritten Notes

Today I'm showcasing one of the new sets for Avery Elle's May release--

Handwritten Notes.  It's a fun set with clever little clarets 

that add versatility to the original sentiment.

I used some speech bubble dies and cut several colors of Avery Elle's

gorgeous heavyweight card stock. I chose some sentiments to fit,

cutting them apart as necessary, and embossed them in white.

They were adhered to a piece of woodgrain card stock and some

punched hearts finished off the card.

That woodgrain card stock is so delicious! I must admit I stared at it 

for a good ten minutes before I could muster up the courage to cut into it. 

It's that yummy!

My 5 minute card

When my Purple Onion Designs stamps arrived, I started trimming them apart.

The set is called Happy Mail and some of the images look like washi tape.

 

I randomly stamped some images on a scrap piece of card stock,

including the little replacement chick (thank you, Kelly!)

and when I finished, I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome.

I colored the chick with some Copics, colored in the heart, trimmed the piece
and mounted it to a notecard. Done!

I was especially pleased with how the colors overlapped

purely by accident. And I didn't even use a stamp positioner!
Isn't that a happy chick? I know I was.
