It's a Sweet Celebration!

Hello and welcome to Sweet November's Sweet Celebration Birthday blog hop! It's been one year since the characters who reside in Sweet November Land have come out to play and a few of them have gotten all decked out for a grand birthday party today!

All of the wonderful SN Gals and Guest Gals, as well as some of the ATS design team have come together to showcase these new cuties with a hop! And you won't want to miss a single blog because not only are the cards super cute and totally inspiring, but there are also four birthday candy kits hidden along the way! Think of them as fun birthday presents for you to win!

We are kicking things off at the ATS blog where you can find the complete list of everyone's blogs, and if you came here from Rinne's blog, then you're on your way!

For my card, I used Birthday Baby Girl on a cupcake shaped card. The template was designed by Tania of SRM stickers and can be found here on her blog.

I Cuttlebugged and lightly sanded a swirly pattern on the cake portion, and ran the bottom part through a paper crimper to look like the cupcake liner.

Here's the inside of the card, using sentiments from a birthday set that I won from Kim's blog.

All four of the new Sweet November stamps will be available in the ATS store on Monday, November 15th, which is the same day that the birthday candy winners will be announced on Amy's blog.

Now hop over to Serafiia's blog to see more birthday goodness. Thanks so much for joining our Sweet Celebration!

Grumpy Georgia

How often do you see an image with a grumpy face? When I first saw Amy's Grumpy Georgia, I knew I had to get her! Life isn't always a "bowl of cherries", and I love that Georgia has that little smirk on her face....she's such a cutie!

While I was breezing through Ben Franklin Crafts, I saw a bin of Studio g stamps. The new clear sets are only $1.25 and now come with a bit of bling--what a bargain! This stamp set caught my eye and I knew it was meant to be used with a grumpy gal.

Here's my finished easel card. I cut apart the "dear" from the "Santa", which is great when you're using clear stamps. And I just realized that this is my first Christmas card for 2010. Hmm...who can I send this to?

Stamps: Sweet November, Studio g
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink, Stampin Up
Paper: Crate Paper, Fancy Pants

Thanks for stopping by today! Stay tuned tomorrow when I'll announce the winners of my giveaway!

Goody goodie bags

Hi there! Hope your week is going well...

Just a quick share of some cute Halloween goodie bags from Elle's Studio for Jessica Sprague. The set includes 5 different designs and all you have to do is print them out, cut them, and fold them up.

My kind of digi project.

I attached The Greeting Farm's Hallo Witch digi to the outside of one bag, and another of Sweet November's Halloween babies on another. Easy peasy, no?

Do you get the feeling that Halloween is quickly becoming my favorite "holiday"?

And remember, there's still time to enter my trick or treat giveaway here.

Good luck!

A "no tricks" giveaway!

Note: Giveaways are closed; winners have been chosen. Thanks for playing, and good luck next time!

Hi all! When I helped the fabulous Amy Young preview her Sweet November Halloween babies a few months ago, she generously gave me a set of the cuties and I'd like to share a couple of them with you.

I put together a little trick or treat giveaway which includes:
  • a 6x6" paper pad of Basic Grey's Ambrosia papers (because I think they look Halloweenish)
  • 1 Sweet November Hero stamp
  • 1 Sweet November Kitty stamp
  • 1 pack of Doodlebug Designs Halloween brads
And I'll even add some sweet treats, too! Simply leave me a comment and I will choose a random winner on Friday, October 22nd. I realize it's not enough time to make this year's Halloween cards, but you'll be early for next year!

Sneaking in one more ATC using Tiddly Inks' Batty image. Since I printed out six of the same digis on one sheet, I made 6 ATCs.

I added Christy's decorative crescent moon which makes this a little bigger than your typical ATC and I'm entering it in Tiddly Inks' Challenge #25--Anything Halloween.

Thanks for visiting today! Hope you're all off to a good weekend!

Stamps: Tiddly Inks, Hero Arts (bats), Lawn Fawn (alphabet)
Ink: Memento; Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot distress ink
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink

Whoo loves you?

Welcome to Day 3 of Sweet November previews featuring the cutest trick-or-treaters by the uber talented Amy Young.  Today I chose Amy's little witch and her owl friend who's clutching on to her hat--too cute!

I decided to use purple instead of the usual black and paired it with orange and green for the witch's costume. I made my favorite scallop circle card and stamped the sentiment before I embossed the dots with the Cuttlebug.

Amy has six new Halloween kiddos so visit her blog and leave a comment on each day's post to win one!

I'd like to thank Amy for giving me the honor of featuring her Sweet November previews. And be sure to visit All That Scraps on August 2nd for their much anticipated release!

A sweet little dragon...

Trick or treat!! Welcome to Day 2 of Amy's Sweet November previews for August! Did you know that Amy is having a giveaway of ALL her new releases plus "zero calorie" candy just by leaving a comment on each day's post? Check out all the details here and yes, she will ship internationally, too!

Here's my card using the cute little Dragon dude. When I first saw the image, I asked Amy, "What is he looking at?" and she said "Whatever you want!"

So I stamped up a bunch of yummy jellybeans in different colors and covered them with Glossy Accents. Doesn't the little dude look surprised at the size of those jellybeans?

I texturized his costume by using some Copic colorless blender like my friend Kelly shared with me and I like the "scaliness" of how a dragon's skin would be.

Don't forget to visit Amy's blog to try and win this stamp and the rest of her release. And come back tomorrow to see another Halloween cutie that's very "bewitching"!

Amy's Pumpkin Sweetie

Hello and Happy Friday! The very talented Amy Young has created some new images for her Sweet November line and I'm excited to share them with you.

I made two cards using the little pumpkin sweetie. Both images were colored with Copics and I used the Sharpie poster paint pen and added white dots to her costume.

Isn't she adorable? I feel as though it's her first Halloween and she's in awe of the little jack-o-lantern.

I love easel cards so I reduced the image and made a small 3.5" square easel card. I ran the cardstock between a Sizzix embossing folder to give the background some texture.

Stay tuned tomorrow when I share another one of Amy's delightful images and please visit her blog to see her wonderful cards, too!

Thanks for visiting today! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Tiddly Inks Second Blog Hop + a Sweeeet share

Tiddly Inks is having their second blog hop and the theme is Halloween is Hopping in July! Christy created so many fun images with a Halloween theme--some goth, some cute, and digital papers, too!

Here's my card using Cast Your Spell. Isn't she a gorgeous fairy? I wanted to have her as a redhead and chose periwinkle as her contrasting gown color. I love the "fairy dust" around her and paired her up with a sentiment from Nina Brackett's Heartily Yours Additions set.

Blog hop posts are going live at 12pm CST, and the hop will begin here at 6pm CST after Inlinkz is closed. Christy is trying something new for the hop order. Simply start at Tiddly Inks and click on the first card in the Inlinkz box and continue the hop from there. Easy peasy!

Christy is generously offering gift vouchers for random commenters and blog participants, too! Hope to see you hoppin'!

I also want to share that I'll be Amy's Sweet November gal and I'll be helping her preview her newest stamp release for August! I'm so honored that Amy asked me and all I can say is her newest line is super cute and a little spooky, too!

Here's a teeny sneaky peek teaser:

Tune in tomorrow through Sunday to see full sized cards of the newest designs that super creative Miss Amy has created, with the release on August 2nd at All That Scraps!

ATS Wednesday Challenge

A quick post to share a card I'm entering in All That Scraps' Wednesday challenge which is shaped cards. Hello! I making shaped cards! I think 90% of my cards are shaped cards. I do love my Nesties....

I used Amy Young's Fidget Goblinspider digi, which is one of her older fairies from her Sweet November line, but she's always been a fave. I added Glossy Accents to her eyes and although she's a fairy, after I took some photos of the card--I think she resembles Ariel, the Disney mermaid, sans tail!

I hope I made the deadline. Hawaii does not switch to daylight savings and I've missed so many deadlines trying to figure out the time difference.

Thanks for visiting! Must get ready for tonight's season premiere of "Glee"!

Stamps: Sweet November digital image by Amy Young, Stampin Up sentiment
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink, DCWV
Ink: Memento, Ranger Distress inks
Other: Copic markers, Nestabilities, Cuttlebug embossing folder,
Stampin Up leaf Sizzlit, Glossy Accents, gemstones, pop dots

ATS Wednesday challenge

The Wednesday challenge at All That Scraps is to use some type of text, either newsprint or from a book, and incorporate it into your card. I used some text papers from Jenni Bowlin and made a ruffled flower and punched out some butterflies, too.

This card turned out so different from what I first imagined. I was going for a sepia toned look and colored Darby and Bumbles with just two Copic colors. The card started to look too plain so I added some pinks and browns and then it took a vintage turn.

I didn't put a sentiment on the card because the text circle looks rather busy. This isn't exactly what I envisioned but I like the "fairy tale" feel to it.

Stamps: Sweet November Darby & Bumbles
Paper: Jenni Bowlin, DCWV Vintage, corrugated paper
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink
Ink: Memento Brown; Antique Linen, Tea Dye Distress inks
Other: Copic makers (E51 and E53), Nestabilities, Marvy scallop punch,
Sizzlits leaf die, Martha Stewart butterflies punch, pearls, buttons, pop dots

And I want to share what my mail carrier delivered today--new Distress inks! I just bought five for now and I think Wild Honey will be my favorite new color. Yay for new toys!

Don't worry...bee happy

Here's my second card made with Darby and Bumbles. And I kept the flower that Darby is carrying intact this time.

I forgot to mention that this set comes in digi form, too. You can find it here at All That Scraps, along with Amy's other Sweet November images.

I was pleasantly surprised to find the deckle edge Nestabilities in my "goodies that I forgot about" box and used it as the base for the card. The sentiment was computer generated.

Hope you're having a great Wednesday!

Darby and Bumbles

Here's one of Amy Young's newest Sweet November designs--Darby and Bumbles. Darby is one cute elf but Bumbles had me at "hello". He's the sweetest bee, ever!

I'm hoping that Amy designs more impish elves and sprites. I just love Darby's sweet face and expression.

This stamp set was given to me by my dear friend Kiara. I hope she got a set for herself because they make for a cheery card! Thank you so much, Kiara! Love this set and I'll be making more cards with them...
