Watercolor Blog Hop--Hosted by Pretty Pink Posh

Want to get inky with watercolors and win prizes from some of your favorite sponsors?
Pretty Pink Posh is hosting a blog hop tomorrow, so you can share your projects,
and score some great prizes, too. Check out these sponsors:

I'm thrilled to be guesting today--thank you, Paulina!--to share a card and hopefully,
inspire you to join the hop!

I recently purchased Zig Kuretake Clean Color brush markers, after watching
Jennifer McGuire use them on her video here. I didn't use them for coloring, but
"smooshed" the ink on acetate like Laura Bassen did here with Distress inks.

I chose colors in rainbow order and created a background for the butterfly
and sentiment from My Favorite Things. I finished off the card with Pretty Pink Posh
Sparkling Clear sequins--my absolute favorite!

Watercoloring is fun and forgiving, and the results make you feel like an artist!
There are so many mediums to try, and no two cards will ever turn out the same
so each one is original. Gotta love that!

Here are the deets for the hop:
  • The fun begins tomorrow, June 5th at 6am PST and ends on June 8th at 11:55pm PST.
  • Link up your project(s) at the Pretty Pink Posh blog. Enter as many times as you wish!
  • If we reach 100 entries, Paulina will donate a $20 Ellen Hutson OR Simon Says Stamp gift certificate to the list of prizes. 200 entries? Another $20 gift certificate will be up for grabs.
Paulina will continue to add a gift certificate for every 100 entries, up to 500.
So break out your inks, markers, and watercolors and link up your projects
starting tomorrow, June 5th, at the Pretty Pink Posh blog. Hope to see you there!

Pretty Pink Posh Cutting Edge Blog Hop

I'm joining the Pretty Pink Posh Cutting Edge Blog Hop just under the wire.
Here's my card.

I'm totally in love with Penny Black's By the Numbers die.
I dabbed some distress inks on it and popped it up on a woodgrain embossed card.

Gold spattered ink, a gold die cut sentiment and gold sequins finished the card.
Gosh, that's a lot of gold!

Visit Pretty Pink Posh and hop along and comment to win some awesome prizes
from fabulous sponsors!

Pretty Pink Post Sequin Shaker Blog Hop

Today I'm joining a fun Sequin Shaker Blog Hop hosted by Pretty Pink Posh.
I love making shaker cards and my favorite way to make them is Julie Ebersole's
easy peasy method using washi tape.

I inked up the awesome sentiment from Mama Elephant in two colors
and sandwiched the sides of the "pocket" with pink dotted washi tape.
I enclosed a few sequins in the pocket before securing the top edge.
The shaker was mounted on a dotted green background.

I adhered a few sequins on the outside of the shaker, just for fun.
If you want to give this a try, follow Julie's video tutorial here.
Have fun...and join the hop!
