MFT September Release Countdown Day 4

Birdie Brown brings us Fall Friends on Day 4 of My Favorite Things September
Release Countdown. What's not to love about a little girl sitting on a giant pumpkin?

The little girl and extra pumpkins were stamped and colored with Copics, then cut
with the matching Die-namics. The leaves in the set were stamped on a kraft card
base with Versamark ink for a tone on tone look, then topped with a stitched frame.

All the images were popped up on the card and the stamped sentiment finished
off the card.

MFT September Release Countdown Day 5

There's something for everyone this month, with new stamps, dies, and papers.
Ready to see what's being showcased on Day 5?

If you love the sweet n' snarky Sassy Pants Birthday Greetings you'll love this
month's Sassy Pants Best Friends Stamp Set to use on cards for very special friends.
And this set is part of MFT's exclusive Signature Line which means it can only be
found in the MFT Store!

Two birds and branches were cut from white card stock and colored with Copic markers.
One bird was colored "normally" and the second one in rainbow stripes. They were adhered
to a wonky stitched rectangle and the sentiment was stamped under it. The panel was
popped up on a white card base.

And here's a look at this month's freebie that's automatically added to your order
while supplies last. I'll have to admit that I LOVE this set. Succulents are still trendy
and this set is perfect for quick cards and projects.

The pots and cacti were inked with Distress inks, then spritzed with water before
being stamped on watercolor card stock. I trimmed the piece with a wonky stitched
square and stamped the sentiment beneath the plants.

Green polka dot paper was also cut with the wonky stitched die and both pieces
were layered on a Grout Gray card base.

Visit today's countdown post at My Favorite Things for more peeks at the new
release and leave a comment there for a chance to win a $75 MFT gift voucher.

CAS(E) this Sketch #287

Here's CAS(E) this Sketch #287, compliments of teammie Brian.

And here's my slanted take on it.

A piece of striped patterned paper, a take out coffee cup and a stamped
sentiment. Done! I had the cup in my stash of die cuts so assembly was
easy peasy. The design went a little diagonal because of the placement of
the cup, but you can still see the sketch. Sorta.

MFT Wed Sketch Challenge #400

We've reached Sketch #400 for MFT's Wednesday Sketch Challenge!
Here's the milestone sketch.

And here's my take on it, with a full rotation of the sketch.
Because, candles.

Five candles and their flames were ink distressed and spattered with water,
then adhered on the bottom portion of the card. The sentiment was gold
embossed, then cut with the fishtail strip and popped up above the candles.

random winner of a $50 MFT gift voucher! Hope to see you in the gallery!

Stitched lines were embossed on the bottom of the card and topped with

MFT Wed Sketch Challenge #399

It's time for a new Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Here's Sketch #399.

And here's my take on it.

A circle of watercolor card stock was ink distressed and spattered with water.
Waves were die cut into the circle and the shark was popped up between them.
A strip of striped patterned paper was adhered per the sketch and the
shark and sentiment were adhered over it. Enamel dots finished off the card.

MFT Beautiful Bloom Card Kit Release Day

It's time! You may now purchase the Beautiful Bloom Card Kit in the MFT Store!

I have one more project to share with you using this fantastic kit, with the focus
on the beautiful bloom.

The bloom was white embossed on watercolor card stock and ink distressed
with several colors of Distress inks. After spattering water over it, the bloom
was cut with the matching Die-namics. The Smart Align feature makes
lining up the image with the die easy peasy, too.

A background was created with the Drifts and Hills Stencil with green
Distress inks. The panel was cut and adhered to a white card base. The
bloom was popped up and finished off with the sentiment and sequins.

Visit participating team members' blogs and leave a comment by Thursday,
August 23rd for a chance to win a $50 MFT gift voucher! Thanks for stopping by
during the countdown and happy shopping!

MFT Beautiful Bloom Card Kit Day 2

Ready for more inspiration using the new Beautiful Bloom Card Kit?

The single bloom is simply gorgeous and so versatile for a number of occasions. Today
I've made a sympathy card using just the bloom, color pencil highlights, and a sentiment.

I white embossed the flower, offset slightly, on a Cement Gray panel. I did a bit of
highlighting with a white colored pencil. The sentiment was stamped in black and
the card was finished off with sequins.

Visit today's Card Kit post at My Favorite Things for more ideas using the
Beautiful Bloom Card Kit. Get ready to purchase yours tomorrow, August 21st
at a NEW earlier time--10AM EST in the MFT Store!

MFT Beautiful Bloom Card Kit Day 1

This month's My Favorite Things Card Kit is Beautiful Bloom and it's perfectly named.
There's a big, bold, gorgeous bloom just waiting to be colored in your favorite medium
and a word die that comes with its own "shadow"--so cool!

Here's a peek at the Card Kit. Visit today's post at My Favorite Things for
a detailed description of the kit's contents.

Here's my card for today. All products found in the kit are designated in bold type.

The bloom was white embossed three times on watercolor card stock. I used
Distress inks with ink daubers to add color to each bloom and background.
Water was spattered over it and left to dry.

"Beautiful" was cut from white card stock and the shadow from Steel Grey card
stock and adhered together. "Hello" was white embossed on a strip of gray card
stock. The two part sentiment was adhered to the card finished off with sequins.

Visit today's Card Kit post at My Favorite Things for more inspiration from
the Creative Team and get ready to purchase your kit on Tuesday, August 21st!

CAS(E) this Sketch #285

Chrissy brings us CAS(E) this Sketch #285 and it looks like this.

Here's my take on it--an "all dies" card.

I die cut three shapes, ink distressed them and spattered them with water.
HUGS was die cut into the largest shape, the spaces filled in with the
respective letters using Stone Gray card stock. Sequins finished off the card.

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see how the rest of the team interpreted the sketch
and join us if you can. Link up your card(s) by Thursday, August 23rd and
we hope to see you in the gallery!

MFT August Birthday Project--CAS Birthday

Go for a clean and simple look that minimizes extras and puts the focus squarely
on the occasion with this month's Birthday Project Challenge.
Here's my challenge card.

Three candles and their respective flames were ink distressed and popped up
on a card. The sentiment was stamped beneath it and the flames were blinged
with Nuvo Glitter Gloss. Easy peasy and it makes my CAS heart happy!
