Simon Says Stamp Corbel Heart

Simon Says Stamp graciously sent me this gorgeous new die during their Die-Cember
release and I finally found some time to share a card with it, before the year's end.
The die is called Corbel Heart--an exclusive design to Simon Says Stamp.

I used Peerless watercolors and painted a piece of watercolor card stock in ombré
colors and adhered it to a gray card base. A panel was cut from a stitched panel and
the heart was die cut in the center. I popped up the heart over the colored piece, and
added the die cut sentiment underneath.

The card was finished off with a few sequins on the heart, and twine tied on the side.
You can find the Corbel Heart die here in the Simon Says Stamp store. It's the perfect
heart design for just about any occasion.

Big thanks to Simon Says Stamp for letting me play with this beautiful die, and
thanks to all of you for visiting throughout the year and leaving such sweet comments!
I hope you all have a safe and Happy New Year!

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #313

Ready for a new MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge? Here's Sketch #313.

And here's my take on it.

The Chevron Grid was first stenciled with white pigment ink on Natural
card stock. I inked and assembled a frappe, then popped it over a banner.
The card was finished off with the sentiment, white embossed on a banner.

Visit MFT's Card Challenges blog for all the details on how you can win
up to a $20 MFT gift voucher and join this week's challenge!

MFT December Creative Construction--Shaking Things Up With Blueprints

Everyone loves a shaker card, right? So many of the elements included in Blueprints
provide easy and innovative means of creating these delightful little interactive looks.
Our team has been busy exploring different ways of incorporating Blueprints into
their shaker cards and can’t wait to share their ideas with you!

I used the elements from Blueprints 24 to create a New Year's shaker card.

A Stone Gray card base was stamped with Balloon Strings and a smaller
panel was stamped with Swiss Dots, both in Versamark ink. The panel was cut
with the rounded card element and a circle was cut from the center. The sentiment
was silver embossed on white card stock and I assembled the shaker portion with
a 2" Shaker Pouch adding some gold and silver sequins and mini stars inside.

I finished off the card with a champagne flute, die cut from silver and
gold sparkle paper, and a few silver stars. Visit today's post at My Favorite
Things to see more shaker cards from the rest of the Creative Team!

Peace on Earth

I'm squeezing in one more holiday card and entering Paper Garden's
Holiday Card Challenge just under the wire!

I white embossed a flurry of snowflakes on watercolor card stock, then
ink distressed in rainbow order around the panel. I spattered water over
the surface, then heat embossed the sentiment with platinum embossing
powder. I wish you could see the embossing IRL--it's so pretty!

This will probably be my last post before Christmas and I wanted to mention
a couple of things.  Be sure to enter CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #202 with a
January 5th deadline. You'll have plenty of time to enjoy the holidays
and enter the challenge, too!

And I wish you all a wonderful and safe holiday.
As we say in the islands: MELE KALIKIMAKA!
