MFT June Card Kit Release Day

Today's the day! You may now purchase My Favorite Things June Card Kit,
Make a Wish, in the MFT Store!

I have one more card to share using this fun kit and of course, I had to use
one of my favorite coloring techniques--ink distressing.

The candles and sentiment were white embossed on watercolor
card stock, and the flames were embossed separately to get them as close
together as possible. A combination of Distress and MFT's dye inks were
blended over the embossed images, then spattered with water.

I adhered a strip of diagonal stripes on the card base, and trimmed the panel to fit.
The card was finished off with some clear sequins.

Remember to leave comments on all the participating designers' blogs by
Thursday, June 23rd for a chance to win a $50 MFT gift voucher!
Thanks for stopping by during the countdown, and happy shopping!

  12. Gorgeous card! I really need to try that technique, it adds so much dimension without adding layers! I'd love to know how you adhere clear sequins without any adhesive showing? Thanks!
