MFT March Release Countdown--Day 4

It's Day 4 of My Favorite Things March Release Countdown and this month,
Birdie Brown introduces Strike Up the Band.

Both of my daughters were "band geeks" in high school and I'm proud to say that
they represented Hawaii and marched in the Rose Bowl and Macy's Thanksgiving
Parades. So today I'm sharing two cards to remember those happy occasions.

For both cards, I inked Distress and dye inks on watercolor card stock, then spattered
water over the surface. After they were dry, I cut them with Wonky Stitched Rectangles.

All the band members were stamped and die cut with the matching dies. I was
planning to leave them uncolored, but decided to add just a hint of color with Copics.
Enamel dots and sequins finished off both cards.

Stop by today's countdown post at My Favorite Things for more peeks of the new
release, and leave a comment there for your chance to win a $75 gift voucher!
Thanks for stopping by today!

  5. Donna!! I LOVE how you've colored those rabbits! In the style of Beatrix Potter I think - ever so soft colors, so their 'music' comes on with a bang of color! Wow. How ever did you decide this? Genius, I'm tellin' ya! xxx
