CASual Fridays 124

CASual Fridays #124 is to create a clean and simple New Year project.

For my card, I did my best to channel my buddy JJ Bolton.
I used My Favorite Things' Number dies and some DCWV colored foil cardstock
with a sentiment from Avery Elle.

Here's a close up of the panel that's popped up with dimensional tape.

This challenge is teamed up with the 10 Minute Craft Dash from
Pretty Pink Posh and you can link up your card there as well.

Unfortunately my card didn't make it because just adhering the dimensional tape--
all those teeny, tiny pieces--took 10 minutes!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Avery Elle Simply Said Love

Today I'm showcasing Avery Elle's Simply Said Love clear stamp set
and the Love Elle-ments die.

I wanted my card to resemble a large postage stamp, using the pinked die
and the numbers from Save the Date.
The felt flower was made using the smallest die from the new
Embellish It Flower dies--designed by Nina Yang. How cute is that?

Thanks so much for stopping by, and make sure you visit

CAS(E) this Sketch 58 or "The last sketch of the year..."

Here's Sketch 58 by teammate N@ Ali.

And here's my take on it.

Some ink distressed, gold tipped feathers paired with a Hero Arts sentiment
and a sliver of green cardstock for a bit of color.
Simple dimple, easy peasy!

And yes, this week's sketch will be the last one for 2013.
We are taking a THREE WEEK break, giving you three weeks to play
so you can concentrate on having the happiest of holidays
and return in 2014 to a slew of brand new sketches!

Be sure to upload your card(s) by Thursday, January 9th at 9am EST
then come back an hour later to see Sketch 59.

Happy Holidays from all of us at CAS(E) this Sketch!

Save the Date with Avery Elle

Today I'm showcasing Avery Elle's new SAVE THE DATE clear stamps
together with the new PINKED DIES Elle-ments.

The sentiment was gold embossed on a pinked panel and finished off with
some cream rosettes that I made using the pinked circle dies.
The leaves are from LAURELS Elle-ments, trimmed to fit.

The flowers were easy to create with felt because it "stays" as you're rolling, unlike paper.
Simply cut a spiral (no pattern needed!) and roll with a toothpick.

After securing the base (I used Glossy Accents), I trimmed off the excess to form
a more even looking flower. These flowers were fun to make and
you just might see them on some future projects!

Be sure to stop by Nina's blog to see her awesome Avery Elle project.
Thanks, always, for stopping by!

CAS(E) this Sketch 57 & CASology 74

CAS(E) this Sketch 57 is a fun one, by my teammate Joni.

And here's my take on it.

I adhered an embossed strip and added three Paper Smooches snowflakes
along with a sentiment from Hero Arts.

And since I used some snowflakes, I'm linking this up to CASology
whose cue word this week happens to be SNOWFLAKE.

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see how my teammies interpreted the sketch
and play along with us if you can!
Just be sure to link up your card(s) by December 19th.

Thanks for stoppin' by!
