CFC #56--Sweet Spot

I love polka dots so I was excited to see CASual Fridays Challenge #56 to create a clean and simple project using polka dots. And I've always wanted to try this with a background stamp.

I inked up mainly the center portion of the Cling Dots background stamp with Versamark and clear embossed it. I ink distressed using several shades of green distress ink, working from lightest to the darkest. A paper flower (Thank you, Alice!) and sentiment banner was added, a corner was rounded off and my card was done.

I like the "incomplete" stamping and I'm pretty happy with the grungey results. My only regret is that now I'll have to find a bigger envelope.

Thanks for stopping by!

  13. I love how you did the embossing and inking - really fab result. Why not make your own envelope for this - I've just done a tutorial over on my blog. It's very easy and means that you can make envelopes any width you need to cater for overhanging elements. Thanks for joining us at CAS-ual Fridays this week :)
