Last Days of Summer Blog Hop

Eleven manufacturers are participating in a "Last Days of Summer" blog hop, sponsored by PSA Essentials. One lucky person who completes the hop and leaves comments at all 11 blogs will win an amazing prize package valued at over $300!

Start here at Purple Onion Designs and follow the link to the next blog. Here are the participating companies:

Here's my card with a summery theme. I used Purple Onion Designs' Summer Noteblock, clear embossed on white cardstock and ink distressed with Shabby Shutters, Scattered Straw, and Victorian Velvet distress inks.

The background is clear embossed with Hero Arts' Designer Woodgrain--love how that turned out!--and I embossed several pennants from the Build-a-Banner set. They were ink distressed with Victorian Velvet and Scattered Straw distress inks.

I used some Honeydew twine from The Twinery and the great tutorial from my blogging friend, Emily Leiphart, to make the little twine knots between the pennants. It took me several tries to make my knots look like Emily's "little roses", and I liked using the knots as embellishments instead of pearls. Thanks for a great tutorial, Emily!

The hop runs through Sunday, August 28th at 11:59pm EST. You won't want to miss this chance to win some awesome prizes! Happy hopping!

Stamps: Purple Onion Designs, Hero Arts
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink
Ink: Versamark, Ranger distress inks
Other: Clear embossing powder, twine, dimensional adhesive
